Abstract
<B>SISTEMA DE ACESSO MúLTIPLO DE ESPECTRO DIFUSO BASEADO EM MULTIPLEXAçãO DE DIVISãO DE FREQuêNCIA ORTOGONAL USANDO ANTENA DIRECIONAL<D> Uma estação de base dentro de uma célula de um sistema de acesso múltiplo de espectro difuso baseado em multiplexação de divisão de freq³ência ortogonal (OFDM) emprega a setorização como uma forma de reduzir a interferência entre células. A célula é setorizada do ponto de vista de transmissão pela direcionalidade da antena de ligação descendente, e o conjunto de tons de OFDM empregado em cada célula é correspondentemente setorizado, isto é, a cada setor na célula é alocado um conjunto de tons dentro de uma sub-banda da largura de banda de freq³ência disponível para uso ao transmitir para aquele setor. As sub-bandas atribuídas a cada setor são mudadas periodicamente, ou "variadas", dentre as sub-bandas disponíveis dentro da largura de banda totalmente disponível. Tal variação de sub-banda é uma variação normalmente chamada de "lenta", pelo fato de que a mesma não é realizada em uma base de símbolo por símbolo, mas em vez disso ocorre apenas após mais do que um símbolo ter sido transmitido em um setor em tons dentro da sub-banda. Cada setor emprega seu próprio sinal piloto, ao qual é atribuído um ou mais tons dentro da sub-banda atualmente empregada por aquele setor. Similarmente, para a ligação ascendente, a estação de base pode empregar uma antena receptora direcional. Preferivelmente, o terminal móvel transmite apenas em um tom que está dentro de uma sub-banda, alocada ao setor no qual está localizado o terminal móvel. Essa sub-banda, contudo, não precisa corresponder ao mesmo local, dentro da largura de banda, que a sub-banda usada pela ligação descendente para comunicação com o terminal móvel.
