Abstract

The protected female plug is applicable for protectionagainst overvoltages in the telecomunication equipment. It isreliable and by it switching contact is effected in a simplifiedmanner and automatic production is effected with reduced costs.The female plug consists of a body (1) with a PC board (2),overvoltage tapping (3) with conducting plate (9), fusable element(5) which after a specified temperature of the tapping (3) fuses,earthing plate (8), springing arm connected to element (5) and theplate (8), and protection component against overcurrent(overloading) (7). The springing arm is made in the form of anarc-like swithcing contact (4) on which element (5) is mountedwhich is brought into contact with plate (8) before actuation, andadditionally - by the actuation with the telecommunication lines(a, b).6 claims, 4 figures
