<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

DESCRIPTION associated with an INVENTION PATENT APPLICATION in the name of "HACO", limited liability company for: "Press with work table"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This invention relates to a press equipped with an up-and-down movable ram with top tool that can be moved against a work table equipped with a bottom tool.
Such presses are used, among other things, to bend materials and / or to shape them at a desired angle.
When handling a press, it presents the difficult to solve problem of parallelism between the top tool mounted on the ram of the press and the bottom tool (e.g. die) on the work table.
If no parallelism between top tool and work table is indeed achieved, the pleated material will inevitably produce an angle profile with variable angle.
This must of course be avoided.
Until now, the position of the work table has been determined by means of micrometric tap control.
This arrangement requires a lot of care and is very time consuming.
In very specific cases, a progressively modified angle may be required. In such cases, one must of course be able to make use of a desirable deviation that captures parallelism between the top tool and the work table.
In order to be able to realize these objects according to the invention, the above-mentioned werkaiel @@@ consists of at least one lower table and an upper table and at least one cantilever piece is provided that can move in the longitudinal direction. ccr <-n. when ram referred to above with his top tool ccn. exerts a certain amount of pressure on the work table referred to above.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
According to a first possible embodiment, the above-mentioned tilting piece is connected to the above-mentioned top table.
According to a variant of this, the above-mentioned top table forms a whole with the above-mentioned tilting piece.
According to the invention, the above-mentioned tilting piece has a longitudinal arc-shaped profile with the same radius as that of the arc-shaped profile of the lower table on which the above-mentioned tilting piece rests.
Other details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a press according to the invention. This description is given by way of example only and does not limit the invention. The reference numbers relate to the schematic figures appended hereto.
Figure 1 is a front view of a first embodiment of the press according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a front view of a first variant of the press according to Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a front view of a variant in which the tilt piece and the top table form a whole.
Figure 4 is a front view of a variant of the press according to Figure 3.
Figure 5 is a front view of a variant of the press according to the invention, wherein the tilting piece consists of several segments.
Figure 6 is a variant of the press according to the invention in which the entire tilting piece consists of two sets of segments.
In the different embodiments, the press schematically represented by these figures always comprises a whole consisting of bottom table 1 and top table 2 and an upper tool 4 fixed to ram 3 of the press.
Only the problem of parallelism between top tool 4 and top table 2 will be discussed below. The tool mounted on the top table 2 and the over the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
desired angle to crimp material are not suggested here because these elements are not required for clear understanding of the invention.
In order to, as it were, automatically set the desired parallelism between top tool and top table, the invention is based on the idea that between the top table and bottom table there must always be a tilting piece which, when the pressure exerted by the ram 3 with top tool 4 the workpiece, i.e. on the bottom tool and the top table 2, will move in the longitudinal direction relative to either the top table or the bottom table.
The intention is, when there is no parallelism between top tool and bottom tool, by automatically creating a parallelism by inclination by a certain force of the top on the bottom tool.
The various schematically proposed embodiments are all based on this principle and are described below
EMI4.1
one by one.
In the embodiment according to figure 1, a tilting piece 5 is attached to the top table 2 at the bottom. The tilt piece here has a convex continuous profile which co-acts with the concave continuous profile of the bottom table 1. It is clear that the radius of the convex intermediate piece is the same as that of the concave running table.
This of course applies to all other embodiments.
The embodiment according to figure 2 closely follows that of figure 1, in that the tilting piece 5 'here has a concave course, while the lower table with which this tilting piece cooperates is convex.
The embodiments according to figures 3 and 4 differ only from the embodiments according to figures 1 and 2 in that the tilting piece and the top table form a whole. In figure 3 the top table, which can therefore also be regarded as a tilting piece, is convex and the bottom table 1 is concave. For the sake of clarity, be here
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
top table and tilting piece with the references 6-6 'indicated.
In the embodiment according to Figure 4, the tilting piece 6 'is part of the top table. The tilting piece 6 'has a concave course that matches the convexity of the lower table 1.
Finally, Figures 5 and 6 relate to variants of the invention in which the tilting piece consists of a series of adjoining segments, 7 and 8 respectively. The segments 7 as well as the segments 8 form a whole, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the tilting piece. The lower table 1 can then, as made clear by figure 5, have a concave course which corresponds to the convexity of the different connecting segments 7. According to figure 6 the lower table is flat and the segments 8 rest with their flat base on the lower table l. The segments 7 have the same profile as the segments 7 of figure 5 and adjoin the concave segments 8 resting on the bottom table 1 and connected thereto.
From the description given recently and as can be seen from the figures, one automatically arrives at the desired parallelism between the top tool 4 and the top table
2 simply during or at the end, of the pressing phase of the top tool on the top table 2. In the event of a possible lack of
EMI5.1
Parallelism between top tool and top table will move along the top table with the tilting piece along the bottom table in the longitudinal direction of these parts until the top tool and top table run strictly parallel to each other with the bottom tool.
In certain less common cases, a lack of parallelism can of course also be sought, for example to obtain a profile bar whose angle between the wings varies over the entire distance of the profile. In such a case, means can be provided to position the tilt piece in the desired position t. o. v. block the top tool.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above by way of example.
