<EMI ID=4.1>

<EMI ID=13.1>
<EMI ID=16.1>
<EMI ID=17.1>

J REVENDICATIONS

<EMI ID = 1.1>
closing handle in particular for cabinet door or other part of metal cabinet comprising at least one locking member.
It aims to create a handle allowing rapid attachment without any accessories (no screws or nuts) and whose external protrusion is very small so as to limit damage during transport and to avoid the danger of clothing getting caught.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
Other purposes and advantages will be set out below.
This handle, object of the invention, is essentially distinguished in that it is constituted
by a box intended to be embedded in a cutout
of the door and whose visible face has a cavity in which is placed a trigger accessible by this cavity for actuating the locking member or locking members.
This case is rectangular in shape and
usually is made by molding a plastic material.
In the practical embodiment of the invention, the trigger is mounted and held in the housing on a pivot axis and carries one or more supports for
an axis parallel to the pivot axis and on which engages the hook-shaped end of a lock passing through one of the short sides of the housing.
In order to make the invention fully understood, several embodiments thereof will be described below.
with reference to the drawings in which:
Figure 1 is an elevational view of a device according to the invention comprising a single closure location. Figure 2 is a sectional view along the line II-II in Figure 1 (in the closed position). Figure 3 is a sectional view showing the handle in the open position installed in a metal door notch. Figure 4 is an exploded view of a device provided for three closing locations.
The purpose of FIGS. 4A and 4B is to illustrate the operation of the device according to FIG. 4.
<EMI ID = 3.1> of a device designed for three locking locations
and provided with a lock.
Figure 6 shows the mechanism provided for the embodiment according to Figure 5.
As shown in figures 1 to 3 the handle
is constituted in the main order by a rectangular box 10 of plastic material intended to be embedded in a cutout of the door 27 and whose visible face 11 comprises a cavity 12 in which the trigger is located.

This case presents on its entire periphery
a support rim 14.
One of the side faces of the housing is
pierced with an opening 15 for the passage of the bolt 16
which extends in a space 17 and which at its end is curved in the form of a hook 18.
The latch 16 is supported and guided laterally near the hook 18 by two uprights 19 integral with the front face 11 of the housing 10.
The trigger 13 is mounted and maintained
in the housing 10 on a pivot axis 20 and door
two supports 21 between which extends an axis 22 parallel to the axis 20 and on which is engaged the end 18 in
latch hook shape 16.
The lateral face of the housing where the opening 15 is pierced is provided with a projection 23 which, together with the bearing flange 14 forms a space 24 of conical shape in order to
to allow the adaptation of the handle to sheets of different thicknesses.
Part of the rear face 25 of the housing

15 of the lock 16 is provided a flexible tab 26 which is used for the establishment and fixing of the handle in a cutout provided in the sheet.
To install the handle in the cutout made in the sheet 27 (figure 3), the following procedure is carried out:
1. The housing 10 is inserted obliquely into the cutout on the latch side so that the sheet 27 comes to jam in the conical space 24 of the housing during the rotation of the housing towards its closed position.
2. The other side of the housing is then introduced which causes the crushing of the flexible tab.
26 which after passage of the sheet tends to resume its original position.
The handle thus fixed can no longer

For this purpose, a cutout 29 is made in the part of the lock 16 located in the space 17 of the housing 10.
This cutout 29, substantially rectangular in shape, has along the lower side a rack 30 which cooperates with a pinion 31 held in place by a screw 32 on an axis 33 integral with the front face 11 of the housing 10.
One face of the pinion 31 is provided with a projection
34 of square shape intended to receive a cutout 35 of corresponding shape made in a part 36 comprising a strip of sheet metal provided at its ends with folds 36 <1> carrying tenons 37 for driving the rods
28.
The part 36 is therefore formed in the manner of a control cam for the rods 28.
In the open position (FIG. 4A), the latch 16 is in the disengaged position and the part 36 is in the horizontal position.
When the latch 16 is brought into the closed position by the manipulation of the trigger 13, the pinion 31 is rotated by the intermediary of the rack 30 and the part 36 is driven in a movement.
<EMI ID = 13.1>
The rods are therefore also brought into the closed position.
Figure 5 relates to an embodiment in which the handle is completed by a lock of <EMI ID = 14.1> <EMI ID = 15.1>
<EMI ID = 16.1>
<EMI ID = 17.1>
During its introduction, a suitable key acts on a pawl 40 (figure 6) acting as a barrel installed on the lock 16 on the side opposite to that located vis-à-vis the part 36. The inserted key causes the pivoting of the ratchet 40 which can be
brought into a locking position (shown in solid lines) in which the pawl abuts against a projection 41 of the latch 16 (projection also shown in Figure 4) or in a release position (shown in dotted lines).
The introduction and rotation of the key
in the closed position causes the ratchet to rotate
40 which authorizes the operation of trigger 13. This causes the release of the lock and the rotation of the cam
36 for ordering rods 28.
This action therefore has the effect of freeing the three fixing locations allowing the opening
Door.
The reverse operation, when the door is closed, has the effect of locking the assembly.
It should be noted that the key can be withdrawn both in the “open” position and in the “closed” position.

- Quick fixing without accessories, screws or nuts.
- Possibility of matching the bootmaker to the colors of the cabinets. J CLAIMS
