Abstract

Process for injecting hot reducing, partic reformed, gases contg. principally CO and H2 into a blast furnace, opt. with simultaneous injection of liq. fuel through the main tuyeres, in which the hot reducing gases and/or liq. fuel are injected in a pulsating mode e.g. moving sinusoidally or in steps. Pulsations are obtd. e.g. by varying the temp. of the gases injected by plus-or-minus 50 degrees C of an avge. value of 900 degrees C.
