<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

D'autres détails et particularités de l'inven- tion apparaîtront au cour).. de la description des dessina annexés au présent mémoire, qui représentent schématique- ment et à titre d'exemple seulement, les formée d'exécution 'suivant la présente invention - la figure 1 est une vue en perspective partielle de l'élément d'assemblage et de deux tubes à assembler; - la figure 2 est une coupe longitudinale partiel- le de l'élément d'assemblage avec un tube en position de préassemblage ; - la figure 3 est une coupe longitudinale similaire celle de la figure 2 rraïs avec le tube assemblé à l'élé- ment d'assemblage;

@ Element for assembling at least two tubes.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to a rigid assembly element of at least two tubes for a arrangement such as shelving, shelving, scaffolding, furniture, frame or framework, comprising a core and, integral with it. Ci, at least two projecting parts forming between them a determined angle.
In known elements of this kind, the aforementioned protruding parts @ consist of tubular connectors pierced with at least one hole which, in the assembled position, is opposite a similar hole provided in the tube. - respondant, these two holes' being crossed by a tenon mounted at the end of a leaf spring, the other end of which is fixed inside the tubular connector.
These elements have the disadvantages of being of relatively complicated and expensive construction as well as that of requiring a longitudinal alignment of the holes of the aforesaid tubular connector and of the tube to be assembled, ''
In other known assembly elements, the aforementioned projecting part has a bead or even a diameter greater than the internal diameter of the corresponding tube.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
laying, so that the attachment of the tube to the part. projecting from the core is effected by partial or complete expansion of the walls of this tube, which has the disadvantage of only being able to use the tube a limited number of times.
The present invention obviates the aforesaid drawbacks. To this end, this invention relates to a new assembly element in which each projecting part on the core comprises at least two studs which extend gradually and slightly away from each other from their end integral with this core, so as to be able to be introduced with elastic clamping into the end of the corresponding tube, which also abuts against the core,
Preferably, each stud has its free end heated on its wall in contact with the wall of the corresponding tube to facilitate its introduction into the end of this tube,
According to a constructive feature of the invention improving the rigidity of the assembly, each stud has a bearing face against the inner face of the tube, which bearing face has a shape corresponding to this inner face of the tube,
In another embodiment / in order to avoid a disengagement of the aforementioned projecting part in the L. corresponding when the construction requires greater strength, each of the studs of the so-called protruding part has, near its heated end, a groove in which is housed at least one corresponding protuberance located on the inner face of the corresponding tube .

Further details and features of the invention will become apparent from the description of the drawings appended hereto, which represent schematically and by way of example only, the embodiments according to the present invention. invention - Figure 1 is a partial perspective view of the assembly element and two tubes to be assembled; - Figure 2 is a partial longitudinal section of the assembly element with a tube in the pre-assembly position; FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section similar to that of FIG. 2 taken with the tube assembled to the assembly element;
- Figure 4 is a longitudinal section of an assembly element according to another embodiment with a tube in the assembled position,
In these figures, the same reference notations designate identical elements.
The assembly element shown is used to assemble two tubes 1 and 2 at a determined angle. In the embodiment illustrated, the tubes 1 and 2 have identical and square sections. In other embodiments, these sections may be different from each other or else rectangular, polygonal or circular. In the example chosen, the angle formed by tubes 1 and 2 is believed. However, in other similar examples, this angle may be acute obtuse or 1800,
The assembly element is preferably made of metal but can also be of a suitable synthetic material.

This assembly element comprises a core 3 and protrusions 4 and 5 which are palpable thereof and which are identical to each other. These protruding parsies 4 and 5 are located on two adjacent faces of the core 3. It is evident that the core 3 may have another shape and the protrusions may be located on any of the faces of the core. On the other hand, it can carry one or more other additional protruding parts depending on the assembly to be made in a construction such as rayon etc. ... The protrusions 4 and 5 being identical, only the protruding part 5 is described. in detail The projecting part 5 consists of a base 6 and four identiquen pins 7.
The solial base 6 of the core 3 has a square cross section slightly smaller than that of this core. Each of the four studs 7 also has a square section substantially smaller than that of the base. They are willing to four. corners of this base. The studs 7 extend substantially perpendicular to the base 6 and gradually and weakly move away from each other from this base.
On the other hand, the periphery of the base 6, as well as the distance between the external faces of the studs 7 at their base, correspond substantially to the internal dimensions of the tubes 1 and 2.
The spacing of the outer opposite faces of the base 6 and of the studs 7 is designed to obtain contact between the tube and the projecting part 5 over the entire useful length of the studs 7 and on that of the base 6, 'this tube 1 abutting against the core 3.
The studs 7 and the base 6 have a square shape and therefore, they each have flat faces bearing against the internal flat faces of the
