ADJUSTABLE STEREOSCOPIC DEVICE FOR SHOOTING AND PROJECTORS.
The object of the present invention is to take or reproduce, thanks to an adjustable device9, side-by-side stereoscopic views, by means of conventional cameras, projectors and photographic devices, on films 8 to 35 millimeters in width.
It is based on the fact that the sensation of the relief decreasing with the distance of the objects it is possible to reinforce it by taking a pair of stereoscopic images under points of view whose spacing varies with the distance of the objects, at the by means of a device of prisms or mirrors, the spacing of which can be adjusted at will; this device will be placed in front of any camera.
The object of the present invention is essentially constituted by a central prism forming two mirrors which will face the objective, as well as by two lateral mirrors or total reflection prisms facing them and the supports of which are made movable to move them apart. will of the central prism and thus increase the distance between the virtual objectives that they represent.
The support of each of these mirrors or prisms also makes it possible to adjust their respective positions to bring the images to the same level and to frame them on the same subject.
The device is housed in a box, one side of which has two openings provided with movable diaphragms intended to avoid the overlap of the two images and the opposite side of which is placed against the lens of the camera or projector.
Fig. 1 gives, by way of non-limiting example, an embodiment of the device.
The central prism is fixed on rails 2 on which move the supports 3 of the side mirrors 4.
The mirrors are connected to supports by means of springs fitted with screws 5. This makes it possible to adjust the position of the mirrors and make them

swivel or tilt when necessary One of the rails can be graduated to identify the spacing
Fig. 2 shows the box containing the device facing the objects to be photographed, provided with movable diaphragms 6 sliding in front of the two openings 7 to avoid overlapping of the images.
Claims l. Adjustable device, placed in front of the lens of a camera or projector, forming two virtual lenses and allowing fixed or animated photographic reproduction in relief.
