Vu la loi du 24 mai 1854 sur les brevets d'invention,modifiée par les lois des 27 mars 1857,5 juillet 1884,11 octobre 1919,3 août 1924,30 décembre 1925 et 23 juillet 1932,ainsi que les arrêtés royaux du 30 juin 1933 et , n 85,du 17 novembre 1939,et spécialement son article 22 ;
Vu la décision du Ministre des Finances fixant à un mois le délai.,.pour le paiement de la taxe complémentaire;
Vu la requête introduite le 29 août 1952 par Mr.F.SCHWENNICKE,propriétaire du brevet d'invention n 479.687 pour : " Porte-cartes ",délivré le 16 février 1948 pour prendre cours le 17 janvier 1948 ;
Considérant qu'il résulte de cette requête que Mr.F.SCHWENNICKE se trouve dans les conditions exigées pour obtenir la restauration du brevet précité dont la sème annuité aurait dû être payée au plus tard le 17 juillet 1952, ARRETE:
Article 1.- Est restauré le bravet d'invention n 479.687 pour "Porte-cartes ",délivré le 16 février 1948 pour prendre cours le 17 janvier 1948.
Article 2. - La restauration ne sortira ses effets qu'après le paiement des taxes restées en souffrance ainsi que d'une taxe complémentaire égale au montant de celles-ci.
Ce paiement doit être effectué dans un délai d'un mois à compter de la date du présent arrêté.
Article 3.- La restauration est accordée sous la réserve des droits éventuels de tiers.

La présente invention est relative à un portecartes comprenant un étui.
Les porte-cartes connus sont généralement constitués par une poche dont une face est pourvue d'une fenêtre transparenteo Pour pouvoir se servir complètement de la carte qui s'y trouve logée, celle-ci doit être retirée, repliée d'une façon convenable et ensuite réintroduite dans l'étui.
Ce genre de porte-cartes est incommode car il ne permet pas l'utilisation de la partie de la carte repliée se trouvant au verso de la partie vue.
D'autres porte-cartes utilisent des griffes pour maintenir la carte, on risque ainsi de la détériou/er.
La présente invention a pour but de remédier à ces inconvénients en donnant le moyen d'utiliser intégralement une carte, telle une carte routière, qui une fois introduite dans l'étui

présente toutes ses parties à l'usager et puisse malgré cela avoir un encombrement minimum.
A cet effet, l'étui est constitué de deux bandes for- mées d'éléments transparents placés côte à côte et non jointivement, un au moins des côtés de ces bandes présentant au moins un moyen de solidarisation longitudinale des éléments, les deux bandes étant superposées et solidarisées entre elles par au moins un de leurs côtés, tandis que les éléments d'extrémité de l'une des bandes sont solidarisés avec un élément résistant pouvant, lors du repliage en accordéon des bandes d'éléments transparents, cons- tituer une couverture à l'ensemble.
Dans une forme de réalisation avantageuse de l'objet de l'invention, le moyen de solidarisation des éléments transparents est une bande souple, de préférence continue.
D'autres détails et particularités de l'invention ressortiront de la description d'un porte-cartes,donnée ci-après à titre d'exemple non limitatif et avec référence aux dessins ci- annexés.
La fig. 1 montre en perspective une forme de réalisa- tion dépliée d'un porte-cartes suivant l'invention.
La fig.2 montre en élévation un détail du porte- cartes.
La fig.3 montre une vue perspective du porte-cartes replié.
La fig. 4 montre une variante de réalisation de la fig.3.
Un porte-cartes selon l'invention comprend une série de plaques transparentes flexibles 1, lesquelles sont réunies deux à deux par un moyen de liaison également flexible, tel qu'une bande 2 de cuir laquelle maintient deux côtés adjacents des pla- ques 1 superposées. La bande 2 est continue, et on réalisera de la sorte une couverture transparente dans laquelle sera renfermée la

carte 3. Les côtés des plaques 1 opposés à ceux fixés par la bde2, et ce pour chacune des'séries des plaques disposées côte à côte, seront solidarisés également par une bande continue 4 en matière flexible. Les plaques 1 ne seront pas jointives à leurs côtés non solidarise par les bandes 2 et 4 , et de cette façon on pourra replier les plaques en accordéon.
On exécutera ainsi un porte-carte pour chaque type dcartes pliées, de sorte que les interstices laissés entre les plaques 1 correspondront à un pli naturel 12 de la carte 3.
Pour empêcher la carte 3 de glisser hors de l'envelop pe ou étui formé par les plaques 1, on prévoira un ou plusieurs moyens de solidarisation des plaques 1 appartenant à des séries différentes. A cet effet, on solidarisera à l'une des plaques 1, et ce près du bord couturé de celle-ci, la partie mâle 5 d'un bou- ton à pression par exemple, tandis que sur la plaque 1 qui lui, est on solidarisera superposée, mais appartenant à l'autre série de plaques/ la partie femelle 6 du bouton à pression, qui elle, fera partie d'une languet- te 7 flexible attachée à l'une des bandes 2.
Les parties extrêmes de l'enveloppe ou étui 'formé par les plaques 1 solidarisées par les bandes 2 et 4 se termineront par une plaque 8 transparente, de préférence de même dimension que les plaques 1 mais qui sera superposée à un élément de couverture de l'ensemble. Cet élément de couverture sera constitué avantageu- sement par une plaque 9 de cuir,de matière plastique ou analogue, cousue aux plaques 1 par deux de leurs côtés adjacents.
Les plaques 9 portent également une languette 10 de fixation avec bouton à pression 14, tout comme pour la soli- darisation des plaques transparentes. On pourra aussi prévoir des éléments 11 de protection des plis 12 de la carte 3en les fixant également aux éléments de couverture. On pourra pourvoir ces éléments 11 d'orifices 13 pour les attacher aux boutons à pression 14 de la couverture.

Il est bi.en entendu que l'invention n'est nullement limitée à la forme d'exécution décrite ci-airant, et que bien des modifications peuvent y être apportées, notamment quant à la forme, à la constitution, au nombre et à la disposition des éléments intervenant dans sa réalisation, sans sortir du cadre de la présente demande de brevet, à condition que ces changements soient compatibles avec l'esprit des revendications énoncées ci-après.
REVENDICATIONS
1. Porte-cartes comprenant un étui, caractérisé en ce que l'étui est constitué de deux bandes formées d'éléments transparents placés côte à côte et non jointivement, un au moins des côtés de ces bandes présentant au moins un moyen de solidarisation longitudinale des éléments, les deux bandes étant superposées et solidarisées entre elles par au moins un de leurs côtés, tandis que les éléments d'extrémité de l'une des bandes sont solidarisés avec un élément résistant pouvant, lors du repliage en accordéon des bandes d'éléments transparents, constituer une couverture à l'ensemble.

Having regard to the law of May 24, 1854 on patents, amended by the laws of March 27, 1857, July 5, 1884, October 11, 1919, August 3, 1924, December 30, 1925 and July 23, 1932, as well as the royal decrees of 30 June 1933 and, n 85, of November 17, 1939, and especially article 22 thereof;
Considering the decision of the Minister of Finance fixing at one month the deadline.,. For the payment of the additional tax;
Considering the request introduced on August 29, 1952 by Mr. F. SCHWENNICKE, owner of patent n ° 479,687 for: "Card holder", issued on February 16, 1948 to take effect on January 17, 1948;
Considering that it follows from this request that Mr. F. SCHWENNICKE is in the conditions required to obtain the restoration of the aforementioned patent, the sixth annuity of which should have been paid no later than July 17, 1952, ORDERS:
Article 1.- The bravet d'Invention n 479.687 for "Porte-cartes", issued on February 16, 1948 to take effect on January 17, 1948, is restored.
Article 2. - The restoration will only take effect after payment of the outstanding taxes as well as an additional tax equal to the amount thereof.
This payment must be made within one month from the date of this order.
Article 3.- Restoration is granted subject to any rights of third parties.

The present invention relates to a card holder comprising a case.
Known card holders generally consist of a pocket, one side of which is provided with a transparent window. In order to be able to fully use the card housed therein, it must be removed, folded up in a suitable manner and then reintroduced into the case.
This type of card holder is inconvenient because it does not allow the use of the part of the folded card located on the back of the part seen.
Other card holders use claws to hold the card, so there is a risk of damage.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by providing the means of making full use of a map, such as a road map, which, once inserted in the case

presents all its parts to the user and can despite this have a minimum footprint.
To this end, the case consists of two strips formed of transparent elements placed side by side and not contiguously, at least one of the sides of these strips having at least one means of longitudinal joining of the elements, the two strips being superimposed and secured to each other by at least one of their sides, while the end elements of one of the bands are secured with a resistant element which can, when folding the bands of transparent elements into an accordion, constitute a coverage to the set.
In an advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, the means for securing the transparent elements is a flexible strip, preferably continuous.
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description of a card holder, given below by way of non-limiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 shows in perspective an unfolded embodiment of a card holder according to the invention.
Fig.2 shows in elevation a detail of the card holder.
Fig.3 shows a perspective view of the folded card holder.
Fig. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of FIG. 3.
A card holder according to the invention comprises a series of flexible transparent plates 1, which are joined in pairs by an equally flexible connecting means, such as a strip 2 of leather which holds two adjacent sides of the superimposed plates 1. . Band 2 is continuous, and in this way a transparent cover will be produced in which the

card 3. The sides of the plates 1 opposite to those fixed by the bde2, and this for each of the series of plates arranged side by side, will also be secured by a continuous strip 4 of flexible material. The plates 1 will not be contiguous to their sides not joined by the bands 2 and 4, and in this way we can fold the plates accordion.
A card holder will thus be made for each type of folded cards, so that the interstices left between the plates 1 will correspond to a natural fold 12 of the card 3.
To prevent the card 3 from slipping out of the envelope or case formed by the plates 1, one or more means for securing the plates 1 belonging to different series will be provided. For this purpose, the male part 5 of a pressure button for example will be secured to one of the plates 1, near the seamed edge of the latter, while on the plate 1 which is it will be joined superimposed, but belonging to the other series of plates / the female part 6 of the press stud, which will form part of a flexible tab 7 attached to one of the bands 2.
The end parts of the envelope or case 'formed by the plates 1 secured by the bands 2 and 4 will end with a transparent plate 8, preferably of the same size as the plates 1 but which will be superimposed on a cover element of the 'together. This covering element will advantageously consist of a plate 9 of leather, plastic or the like, sewn to the plates 1 by two of their adjacent sides.
The plates 9 also carry a tab 10 for fixing with a press-stud 14, just as for the securing of the transparent plates. It is also possible to provide elements 11 for protecting the folds 12 of the card 3 by also fixing them to the cover elements. These elements 11 can be provided with orifices 13 to attach them to the press studs 14 of the cover.

It is understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described here-airant, and that many modifications can be made to it, in particular as regards the form, the constitution, the number and the the arrangement of the elements involved in its realization, without departing from the scope of the present patent application, provided that these changes are compatible with the spirit of the claims set out below.
CLAIMS
1. Card holder comprising a case, characterized in that the case consists of two strips formed of transparent elements placed side by side and not contiguously, at least one of the sides of these strips having at least one longitudinal securing means elements, the two bands being superimposed and secured to each other by at least one of their sides, while the end elements of one of the bands are secured with a resistant element which can, during the accordion folding of the bands of transparent elements, constitute a cover to the whole.
