ZUIVERINGSINRICHTING
<EMI ID=2.1>

<EMI ID=9.1>

PURIFICATION DEVICE
This invention relates to a purification device, in particular intended for purifying water comprising an aeration tank and a settling tank that cooperate with a pre-settling tank.
Here, it essentially concerns individual water treatment plants intended for the treatment of domestic and / or slightly industrial waste water.
Known systems of this type for treating domestic and light industrial waste waters have been developed according to the well-known active sludge system, such as most public water treatment plants. These consist of three tanks coupled to each other, namely a pre-settling tank, an aerator and a secondary settling tank, which are preferably placed underground.
The tanks are equipped with a round manhole. A height is placed on top, which is closed with a plastic lid. If a pre-settling tank is already present, such as an existing septic tank, only two tanks must be added.
With known systems of this type, the waste water from the home, i.e.
W.C., bathroom and kitchen are connected to the pre-sink. In this tank, the solid parts such as paper, etc., are made "liquid" from the waste water. It also serves to absorb shocks in the event of accidental discharge of small quantities of harmful products such as bleach. This tank works anaerobically, without oxygen.
In such known systems, a pre-settling vessel is connected to the entrance of an aeration tank which in turn is connected to a post-settling vessel, the three elements being completely spaced apart and all being made of concrete. In addition, a number of partitions are provided herein for creating compartments.
The disadvantage of the known systems consists mainly in that the design of the different tanks, essentially the aeration and sedimentation tank, are respectively made of concrete. This means a large weight that is disadvantageous for transport. In addition, the version with bulkheads has the drawback that several dead zones are created, resulting in an adverse accumulation of sludge.
The present invention has for its object to remedy the aforementioned disadvantages.
The purification device proposed according to the present invention is thus defined as in the main claim 1. The purification device according to the invention thus consists of a concrete housing with an interior made of plastic.
Thanks to the proposed device, the dead space is minimized and there is a better distribution of the oxygen in the aeration tank because the tanks used have a smaller diameter than the known ones. Indeed, the aeration and sedimentation tanks are included within the settling zone.
After all, it concerns an aeration and sedimentation system with the main characteristic that the aeration and sedimentation tanks are made of a plastic material with a substantially circular transverse section, wherein they are accommodated in a concrete outer tank in which it acts as a sedimentation tank.
According to an additional advantageous embodiment, the aeration tank is provided with an aeration disk which is detachably mounted on a concrete base.
Further features and details of the device according to the invention are defined in the further sub-claims.
An exemplary embodiment of a purification device according to the invention is described in more detail below with additional details in the light of the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a schematic view of a cross section of the purification device according to the invention. Figure 2 is a top view of the purification plant as represented in Figure 1.
Generally speaking, the present invention relates to a purification plant intended in particular for purifying water comprising an aeration tank 2 and a settling tank 3, both of which are accommodated in a concrete outer tank 1.
Figure 1 shows a purification device comprising an aeration tank 2 and a post-settling tank 3, both of which are accommodated in an outside tank 1. The outside tank serves as a pre-settling tank 19, the aeration tank as a aerator 20 and the post-settling tank extends over substantially the whole height of the outside tank. Figure 2 shows the inputs and outputs of the respective tanks. The entry of <EMI ID = 1.1>
the inlet of the aerator 2 and 7 shows the output thereof. The entrance to the settling tank is referred to by 8 and its output to 9.
The interior of the purification device is almost entirely made of lightweight plastic. This inner work comprising both aerator 2 and after-settler 3 is contained in a concrete outer tank 1. Thanks to this design in plastic, the weight of the entire purification installation is considerably smaller, making these purification installations much easier to transport.
The resistance of the material is also considerably better thanks to the plastic version.
On the outside, however, the purification plant is advantageously retained in concrete.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
this promotes better operation of the purification plant. Thanks to the construction as shown in Figure 2, no compartments are indeed required in the installation.
This construction offers the considerable advantage of eliminating the dead zones.
<EMI ID = 3.1>
Provide pleated edges so that there are no dead zones on the bottom either.
By way of example, the respective tanks exhibit the following volumes:
the outer tank 1 has a volume of approximately 5,000 liters while both
<EMI ID = 4.1>
Tanks with a smaller diameter than the outer tank promote a better distribution of the oxygen in them.
Furthermore, an aeration disk 12 is mounted on a block 11 at the center of the bottom of the aerator tank 2. The block is preferably made of concrete so as not to drift on the liquid level 30 of the waste water to be processed. The aeration disk 11 can be removed in a simple manner via suitable means such as a cable that is not proposed, for example from the purification plant to clean the latter. This makes maintenance of the treatment plant particularly simple and fast. An emergency situation caused by blockage can also be resolved fairly quickly and easily.
The advantage of mounting the aeration disk on a concrete block 14 is that the latter 11 can be easily removed from the installation for maintenance thereof.
Advantageously, the entire aeration disk 12 and concrete block 11 are centrally placed in the center of the pleated part of the aerator.
A flexible bubble 13 is further provided for supplying air to said concrete block 11 from which the air is introduced into the liquid to be purified via the aeration disk. The suction hose 13 is mounted on the same pump as this <EMI ID = 5.1>
In the settling tank 3, a collection tray is provided with a folded-in bottom for better recovery of the sludge.
Both internal tanks, both aerator and secondary settler, have a slightly conical profile.
<EMI ID = 6.1>
allows creating a still water zone 26 in the interior thereof. This still water zone 26 promotes a better settling of the sludge, and this in contrast to the bottom zone 27 where there is a certain turbulence.
At the top of the tanks a number of ventilation holes 15 are provided for the aerator 2 and after-settler 3. These holes drilled around the tanks allow an evacuation of the oxygen
The oxygen has been supplied to the system by means of a non-proposed pump, whereby vacuum can be created in the relevant tube and oxygen can be added to the concrete container.
The operation of the treatment plant is described below.
The overflow of the pre-settling tank is connected to the inlet of the aeration tank. Here, a pump continuously injects air through a bubble aerator or aeration disk. This oxygen ensures that aerobic bacteria can grow in this tank. They purify the waste water. This tank is therefore aerobic. Bacteria that grow there need oxygen.
The overflow of the aerator is connected to the after settler. The bacteria will settle and possibly die. This sediment is further broken down by anaerobic bacteria that further process the remaining nutrients. No extra oxygen is introduced here. The built-in "still water zone" prevents floating sludge from being introduced at peak supplies. Part of this sludge is returned to the aeration tank or the sedimentation tank via the possible sludge recovery. This results in better purification, so that the tank needs to be cleaned less frequently during periods of leave
<EMI ID = 7.1>
Oxygen is supplied to the concrete block 11 in the purification plant via the supply pipe 13 provided for this purpose under the action of a pump. The oxygen
<EMI ID = 8.1>
aeration disk 12.
The escaping oxygen is dispersed in the waste water to be purified, which is included in the interior of the aerator tank 2. The oxygen rises in the waste water to be purified, whereby the air bubbles are well distributed. thanks to the operation of the aeration disk. The circulation is improved thanks to the cylindrical design of the tank and thanks to the absence of blind spots where sludge remains
<EMI ID = 9.1>
After all, the purification system works on these bacteria. The problem that arises during the maintenance of the installation that must be carried out periodically has been solved. Normally the bacteria must be removed temporarily. This must be done as quickly as possible taking into account the continuous operation of the treatment plant. Thanks to the detachable aeration block with concrete block system, the interruption of operation can be kept as short as possible and the operation of the system is thus virtually not disturbed, even when maintenance of the system is required. This is a considerable advantage of the device. Indeed, emptying the tanks and thus removing the bacteria is not required in this case.
Specific bacteria can be added to the system to improve performance. This may or may not happen automatically.
After use, the oxygen is evacuated through the ventilation holes 15 through which the used oxygen can escape from the tank. Sludge is sucked out of the settling sludge 3 via said vacuum which prevails in the return tube 17. Return of sludge into the aerator 2 is effected via return tube 18 which flows into the aerator and leaves the discharge tube 17. The suction of the sludge via the return pipe 17 generates a turbulence at the bottom of the settling tank which causes a movement of the sludge.
<EMI ID = 10.1>
creation of a still water zone in which the water can circulate so that less suspended matter is present in the water at the exit of the entire system. This is in accordance with the relevant regulations. The sludge thus settles in the settling tank 3 and is at least partially returned via the sludge recovery system 17, 18 with the associated airlift.
