<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Afin de mieux faire ressortir les caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention, une presse-cisaille à ferraille est décrite ci-après avec plus de détails, sans aucun caractère restrictif généralement quelconque, en se référant aux dessins annexés dans lesquels : la figure 1 représente une coupe schématique transversale d'une presse-cisaille à ferraille selon l'invention dans une première phase de travail, notamment lors du chargement de la presse ; la figure 2 est une vue semblable à la figure 1, la presse-cisaille à ferraille selon l'invention se trouvant dans la phase de compactage vertical du produit à traiter ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
2 mais dans la phase de compactage horizontal ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Improved scrap shears. The invention relates to an improved scrap shear press, more particularly an improved scrap shear press with a side bin, the bottom of which is removable.
It is known that the production of sheared scrap depends on two factors, in particular: 1. The preparation of the products to be treated, respectively to compress and to shear, which is traditionally a manual operation; 2.-The actual shearing which is normally an automatic operation.
It is also known that increasing the shearing speed does not guarantee higher scrap production.
Indeed, the production of scrap is linked to a manual preparation function and, given the heterogeneous nature of the materials to be prepared, only an operator can perform this operation and a large part of the production depends entirely on him.
In some cases, the manual preparation time can reach 40% of the total scrap production time and, during this preparation, the shears do not work, since it has to wait for the preparation of the products to be treated to be completed. .
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The object of the present invention is to make the production of scrap less dependent on the operator because the latter will prepare the products to be treated, respectively to be sheared during the actual production of the scrap by the shears.
This results in more continuous production and better use of the shears.
For this purpose, the scrap metal shears according to the invention, making it possible to achieve the advantages described above, constituted substantially by a tray in receiving gutter, delimited by a fixed side wall, and two fixed side walls, a removable bottom , a second side wall formed by the end of a horizontal pusher and a sky formed by a compression plate and a chamber located below said removable bottom.
In order to better highlight the characteristics and advantages of the invention, a scrap metal shear is described below in more detail, without any generally limiting character, with reference to the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 represents a schematic transverse section of a scrap shear press according to the invention in a first working phase, in particular when loading the press; Figure 2 is a view similar to Figure 1, the scrap metal shears according to the invention being in the vertical compaction phase of the product to be treated;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figure 3 is a view similar to that of Figure
2 but in the horizontal compaction phase;
Figure 4 is a view similar to that of the previous views, the compacted product being transferred from the press proper to the actual shears; Figure 5 is a view similar to Figure 4, the horizontal compacting device being moved back and the removable bottom being advanced; Figure 6 is a view similar to that of Figure
1, but in the phase where the press is loaded with a product to be treated and the shears are provided with a compacted product ready to be sheared.
As shown in FIG. 1, the scrap metal shears with a side tray with a removable bottom according to the invention essentially consists of a frame 1 on and in which a tray or receiving gutter 2 of U-shaped cross section is produced, the upper marginal edge of one of the side walls 3 is surmounted by means of an axis 4 of a compression plate 5 controlled by a hydraulic cylinder 6.
The opposite side wall 7 of said receiving tray or gutter 2 is constituted by the end of a pusher 8 controlled by a hydraulic cylinder 9, the pusher 8 being able to be provided with a balancing device 9A.
Said receiving tray or gutter 2 is completed by two other fixed walls 10, arranged perpendicularly on the walls 3 and 7. The bottom 10 of said removable receiving tray or gutter 2 and can be driven by a jack 11.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Partly below said receiving tray or gutter 2 is provided a chamber 12 whose volume is greater than the volume of the receiving tray or gutter 2 when the pusher 8 is in its front position.
During the compacting operation, said bottom 10 constitutes both the bottom of the receiving tank or gutter 2 and the head of the shearing chamber 12.
When loading the shear press according to the invention, the products to be treated are deposited in said receiving tray or gutter 2 as shown in FIG. 1.
At this point, it is necessary to tilt the compression plate 5 by means of the hydraulic cylinder 5 in order to reduce, in height, the products to be treated as shown in FIG. 2.
Then, the pusher 8 will be driven forward in order to achieve horizontal compaction of the products to be treated, which is shown in FIG. 3.
After this horizontal compaction, the removable bottom 10 will be moved backwards thus allowing, automatically, the transfer of the compacted products to the chamber 12 under the influence of gravity, which is facilitated by the fact that the volume of chamber 12 is greater than the volume of compacted products. (Figure 4) It should be noted that during the compacting operation, the receiving tray or gutter 2 can determine two extreme positions, in particular a position at maximum volume with the pusher 8 in its retracted position, and a
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
position at minimum volume with pusher 8 in its advanced position.
After the products to be treated have fallen into chamber 12, the elements of the shear press according to the invention are again put in their initial position, as shown in FIG. 1, in such a way that other products to be treated can be placed in the tray or receiving gutter 2 while the products in the chamber 12 can be sheared in a manner known per se. The components of the shears are not shown in the drawings.
If the preparation time is ahead of the shearing time, a hydraulic device can be provided to transfer the available power from the preparation to the shearing and this in order to further increase the shearing speed and therefore the production.
It goes without saying that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiment described above, but that a shear press according to the invention can be produced in different forms without. depart from the scope of the invention.
