Abstract

The invention relates to a system for generating electricity, using water created artificially at altitude. Said system comprises pipes (5, 9) which extend from a low level to an elevated region and in which a medium containing water rises after being heated by solar energy. In the elevated region, said medium is cooled by cold air and precipitates water by condensation, which impinges upon a turbine via downpipes, said turbine being connected to an electricity generator. The system is characterised in that the medium containing water is ambient air, that heating elements are arranged in the pipes, that the ambient air is additionally heated in the valley using surfaces (2) which are painted black and exposed to the sun and that an additional refrigerating chamber is provided for promoting the formation of condensation.
