Abstract

The disc mill has two parallel disposed milling discs (2,3) constructed in ring form with a central passage (4). Two spaced apart working faces (9,10) rotating relative to one another form a tapering working chamber (11) in the region of the passage. The working faces in an outer edge section (12) are formed parallel to one another with at least a slight gap. One of the two discs is rotationally fixed and the other rotatably mounted, or both discs are preferably mounted to counter-rotate. The milling discs may be co-axially or eccentrically arranged in relation to one another.
