Abstract

The module has a fuel cell of proton exchanging membrane type. The cell is supplied with air compressed by a compressor (2) driven by an electrical motor (3). Two valves are placed in open position for connecting cathode and anode zones of the cell. The direction of rotation of the compressor is reversed by reversing the direction of rotation of the motor during water drainage phase, after stopping cell operation. An independent claim is also included for a process frost freeing fuel cell of proton exchanging membrane type.
