Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for applying liquids to moving webs of material, especially for wet-in-wet impregnation in pretreatment processes, and is aimed at providing an apparatus in which a uniform controlled feed of treatment liquid over the entire web of material becomes possible by simple and operationally reliable means. For this, it is proposed, according to the invention, to mount, in a housing (10) arranged in front of the entry of the web of material (12) into a steamer (11), impregnating rollers (13), round which the web of material runs in such a way that one side of the web of material and the other bears alternately against them, and in which pouring channels (14) for feeding the treatment liquid to the web of material are arranged above the gusset between the impregnating rollers and the parts of the web of material running onto the rollers. <IMAGE>
