Abstract

A hinge fitting (55) for the wings (53) of windows (51), doors or the like is provided with joint straps (60) which are pivotably mounted on the fixed frame (52) and are fastened to the wing and the fastening of which consists of a moulding (61) which can be pushed positively into an undercut profiled groove (62), for example of C-shaped or dovetailed cross-section, of a wing leg and, via an actuator (66), is supported, in a manner adjustable in position in its longitudinal direction, on a stop (71) fixed in the wing (53), for example via screws (80). Provided in the moulding (61) is an upwardly and downwardly open window-like cutout (67), into which the stop (71) fixable to the wing engages so as to be relatively displaceable in the longitudinal direction, on the one hand the cutout (67) and on the other hand the stop (71) each having on their longitudinal walls guide strips (72, 73) which are interrupted in specific regions and which can be brought into engagement with one another transversely relative to the direction of action of the actuator (66) and can be fixed in their mutual engagement position by the actuator (66). The actuator (66) is designed as a screw which can be screwed through the end wall (64) of the moulding (61) into the cutout (67). It is expedient for the simple and functionally reliable assembly of the hinge fitting for right-hand fastening and left-hand fastening if the joint strap (60) can be connected to the moulding (61) solely by means of a positive plug coupling (84), the first coupling half (85) of which is formed by recesses (68) and projections (87) present on the underside of the moulding (61), whilst the second coupling half (88) consists of a tab (89) which projects from the joint strap (60) perpendicularly to the joint axis and which has, in the direction parallel to the joint axis, a profiling (90) complementary to the recesses (86) and projections (87) of the moulding (61), and at the same time the two coupling halves (85 and 88) of the plug coupling (84) are made symmetrical relative to their longitudinal centre. <IMAGE>
