Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Device for draining the main line at Eisenbalmwagenheizuugell.

   The present invention is a further development of the device described in patent no. 88810 and aims to utilize the heat of the condenser to a greater extent. It is stated in the parent patent that the water conveyed from the main line into the heater is prevented from freezing in the heating lines by mixing the water with steam so that water never gets into the heating pipes alone. It is now clear that the size of the risk of freezing depends on the temperature of the heating pipes. The warmer the heating pipes are, the less steam can be added. When the heating system is completely heated, it can also be completely shut off.

   The invention accordingly aims to vary the throttling of the steam path provided in the parent patent according to the temperature of the heating system, so that the cross-section of the steam path is greatest at the start of heating and smallest or completely closed off when the heating system is heated.

   The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention.

   It denotes a the main steam pipe, b the condensation trap installed there, c and d the pipes for steam and water leading from the condensation trap to the heating system, g the throttle cross-section in the steam path c, which is under the influence of the temperature of an expansion body i by means of a throttle rod h, which the latter is arranged at a suitable point on the heating lines. In the embodiment shown, the thermostat itself which controls the inlet valve 7c of the heater is used as such an expansion body.

   The function of the device is as follows: As long as the heating system is cold, the throttle cross-section is fully open, as a result of which the ratio of the amount of steam to the amount of water is greatest.

  Of course, with the appropriate size of the throttle cross-section or with a correspondingly low pressure in the main line, it can also be achieved that no water is conveyed at all, but the pressure drop in the steam path c only has one effect that the water in the line d is higher than in the Condensate trap b without it being pumped into the heater.

   If the heating system is heated, however, the throttle cross-section becomes smaller as the throttle rod h approaches, and the ratio of the amount of steam to the amount of water is also reduced or, if the device is designed accordingly, the steam path is completely blocked.
