   Auf der Zeichnung sind zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung dargestellt, u. zw. zeigt :
Fig. 1 die Kühlvorrichtung mit Bildfenstern und Feuerschirm im Längsschnitt, Fig. 2 in Ansicht und Fig. 3 die Vorrichtung mit einem als Klappe ausgebildeten Feuerschirm im Längsschnitt. a ist das Bildfenster, an dem der Filmstreifen b in bekannter Weise entlang läuft. Zu beiden Seiten des Filmstreifens ist je eine Luftdüse   c,   Cl angeordnet, denen durch die Leitungen d, dl von einer gemein- samen Pumpe oder von getrennten Pumpen Druckluft zugeführt wird. Vor Eintritt in die Düsen   c,     Cl   kann noch je ein   Windkessel f, fl eingeschaltet   sein. 



   Gemäss der Erfindung sind die beiderseitigen Luftdüsen   c,   Ci entgegengesetzt gerichtet, so dass die beiden Kühlluftströme im Gegenstrom zueinander an den beiden Seiten der vor dem Bildfenster   liegenden Filmfläehe   entlang geführt werden. Die Düsenenden sind so gerichtet, dass die beiden Kühlluftströme parallel zu dem Filmband in geringem Abstande entlang streichen und einen undurchdringlichen   Kühlluftschleier   bilden. 



   Diese Art der Kühlung ermöglicht es, das Filmband beliebig lang stillstehen zu lassen, ohne dass die Gefahr einer Entzündung eintritt. 



   Die Düsen   c,     el   können anstatt oben und unten auch rechts und links von dem Bildfenster angebracht sein, da es nur darauf ankommt, dass die   beiden Kühlluftströme   entgegengesetzt zueinander gerichtet sind. 



   Mit dem Bildfenster ist noch ein beweglicher Feuerschutzschirm g (Fig. 1 und 2) verbunden, der auf zwei Schienen   h   des Bildfensters geführt und am unteren Rande g umgebogen ist, um dem aus der   Luftdüse Cl austretenden Luftstrom eine Treibfläche zu bieten, so dass er selbsttätig geöffnet und in der geöffneten Lage gehalten wird, während dann, wenn dieser Luftstrom abgestellt wird, oder aus irgend-
