I ersichtlichen Weise in den Apparat eingespannt.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Method and device for ejecting the set from corked bottles.
The present invention is based on the object of creating a simple and sterile method for ejecting the set (depot and yeast) from corked bottles with internal pressure.
This working process, practiced in particular in sparkling wine making under the name of disgorging, is not only used for the production of sparkling wines, but also for other purposes, e.g. B. plays a very important role in the production of clear, sterile fruit juices.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the expulsion of the set is initiated by loosening the cork while partially leaving the cork in the bottle neck and is ended by re-corking the loosened cork into the bottle.
When performing the method, it is expedient to use a cork with a bottom cut at an angle, the control movements of which are initiated in the bottle neck by a ram that is movably mounted with respect to the clamped bottle.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. FIG. 1 shows a device for carrying out the method, FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 illustrate different stages of the method.
The device according to FIG. I consists of a frame a, a pressing device b and a device c which is used to clamp the bottle d.
The clamping device c is formed by a bracket 1 which has two plates 2, 3.
The plate 2 is provided with a hole 4 which is approximately matched to the bottom of the bottle and into which a rough wooden thread is cut. A wood screw 5, which is provided with a handle knob 6, engages in the thread. The plate 3 carries an opening 7 which is adapted to the profile of the central bottle neck.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the pressing device consists of a sleeve 10 which is fastened to the frame plate and in which a nut 11 is mounted. A hollow screw spindle 12 engages in the sleeve, on the continuation 13 of which a hand wheel 14 is attached. In the extension 13, the hollow spindle 15 is mounted, which carries a cup 17 at the top.
The bottle d treated in the device described above has a closure which, for example, has the type shown in FIG. This closure consists of a cork 20 with a bottom 21 cut at an angle and of a helmet 22, known per se, which is tied with wire 23. On a closure of the type described above, the set x collects in the manner shown in FIG. 2 at the bottom of the cork.
If the sentence is to be removed from the bottle, the bottle is removed from the in'Fig. I obviously clamped it in the apparatus. Then, by turning the handwheel 14, the cup 17

and by turning back the handwheel, the cup is lowered a little. As a result, the cork is expelled from the bottle neck by a preselected amount under the effect of the pressure inside the bottle. At the moment in which the edge 30 of the cork leaves the edge 31 of the bottle neck, the sentence x is expelled under the action of the internal pressure of the bottle. At this moment, a further opening of the ejection slot is initiated by a brief turn of the handwheel 14 (FIG. 3) and the cork is corked back into the bottle neck by an immediate reverse rotation of the handwheel 14.
With the aforementioned short but rather wide opening of the ejection slot, in which part of the cork always remains in the bottle neck, the sentence is ejected at great speed so that not only the sentence is completely removed
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
but also the crooked cork floor is flushed clean. When the cork 20 has been reinserted into the bottle neck 1, the helmet 22 is tied off in the manner shown in FIG. 4 by means of a binding wire suspended from the hook 32 (FIG. 1) of the apparatus.
By turning back the handwheel 14 and lifting the handle button 6, the bottle d freed from the sentence can be removed from the apparatus. The expelled set with the entrained liquid splashes into the cup 17, runs off through the hollow spindles 15, 12 and is expediently collected in a bucket 33.
The bottle cork can also be designed differently within the scope of the invention principle shown; It is only essential that, when loosened in the bottle neck, it enables the set to be expelled while partially leaving the cork in the bottle neck. The device for performing the method can also be changed within the scope of the invention shown.
