Device for pressing buckles made of wire or the like.
The subject of the present invention is a device for pressing buckles a08 wire or the like. Such devices have become known in which the wire is first formed like a bow by means of a movable, recess-provided lower punch over a fixed mandrel and then in a second work. - Gang is closed over the mandrel to the finished buckle by means of two feed jaws which can be moved against each other in a lateral direction.
In contrast to these devices, the one according to the present invention is characterized by the fact that a movable upper punch carries out both operations in such a way that it sinks a movable mandrel into a corresponding recess in the lower punch and then closes the pre-formed wire in a second operation to form the finished buckle.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. 1 and 2 show two mutually perpendicular cross sections through the device during the first pressing process, FIG. 3 shows a section corresponding to that in FIG. 1 during the second pressing process, FIG. 4 shows the working surface of the press ram in a view from below.
The device essentially consists of the lower die a, the press ram b and the mandrel c, which can be lowered into the lower ram. The press ram is mounted in such a way that it allows pre-rotation around its own axis and, with its variously equipped work surfaces, one after another to act the

take place in any way, which is made possible, for example, by engaging in an annular groove k, which is provided with a spring-loaded pin i, of the pickling l pin m of the upper punch guiding the punch.
The pressing process is as follows: The wire d to be pressed and cut to a certain length is placed on the lower punch between its lateral jaws f (Fig. I. Dotted), where it is stored in a groove e. Then he presses on the wire

acts, the wire d In a trough of the lower punch or in a side groove a 'of the trough, so that it receives the U-shaped shape designated by d'. In order to enable the legs of the wire bracket to be erected, the ram has the recesses y.
At the start of the press, the press speed b is raised and rotated by 900 so that when it goes down again, the groove h cut out on its work compartment comes into effect. If the ram is moved downwards again, the upright legs of the wire hanger, as shown in FIG. 3, are closed around the mandrel c due to the rounded ends of the channel h, with which the buckle is finished. The ram b is now raised again, the mandrel c is excavated or pivoted from the lower ram and the buckle is stripped from it.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A device for pressing buckles made of wire or the like. In which the Uraht is first shaped like a bow and then closed to the finished buckle, characterized in that the upper punch sinks a movable mandrel (c) into a corresponding recess of the lower punch and then in closes the buckle in a second operation.
