 EMI1.1

 EMI1.2
 Nr. 68586.

 EMI1.2
 No. 68586.

Spark gaps can even cause overvoltages when responding and extinguishing if the compensation process is an oscillatory one; If the voltage equalization is aperiodic, on the other hand, the creation of overvoltages is impossible.

The ratio of the electrical constants of the circuit is decisive for the type of balancing process. Exceeding a limit value of the ohmic resistance determined for each circuit results in an oscillatory discharge; if this type of discharge is to be avoided, the ohmic resistance must reach or exceed this certain limit value.

In order to prevent the occurrence of such overvoltages based on the response and extinction of the spark gaps in the arrangement described in the patent no. 68535, special resistors have to be inserted into the existing closing circuits, the ohmic resistances of which are relatively small.
 EMI1.3
guides the arrangement in connection with separately inserted ohmic resistors; Of course, the other designs mentioned in patent no. 68535 can also be provided with such resistors. 5 differs from the arrangements already described in that the connection of the counter-electrodes is formed here by the allocation itself.

This is one of the possible arrangements in which the voltage equalization between the beginning and any other point of the inductive conductor can take place via a spark gap (and the ohmic resistance connected in series). Electrodes and counter electrodes in operational
 EMI1.4
Also to enable voltage equalization at the same time over two possible spark gaps by means of smaller resistors - the latter, as indicated in FIG. 6 by w, can be attached in addition to resistors 10.
