Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a further improved device for loading and unloading transport containers with a relatively large transport volume, such as transport containers, swap bodies and spatially closed loading areas of commercial vehicles and trailers, which are loaded with piece goods in the form of packages and parcels.
Numerous solutions have already been proposed for loading and unloading transport containers with a relatively large transport / loading volume in order to shorten loading and unloading times, largely mechanize the entire process flow and make the handling processes overall more economical and effective. For example, telescopic conveyors, such as are described in more detail in DE 31 18 803 C2, are used for unloading transport containers with a relatively large loading space, the telescopic conveyor possibly interacting with a reversible transfer and distribution system for the intended further transport and removal of the piece goods.
The telescopic conveyor is always guided in such a way that its feed head is in an immediate position to a person who removes the piece goods from the telescopic conveyor and stacks them in the loading space or places the piece goods on the telescopic conveyor for unloading. Despite the degree of mechanization achieved, this technology is for design
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the handling processes unsatisfactory and due to the necessary
Operator not effective either.
The invention is therefore based on the object, the handling processes for the
To further rationalize loading and unloading of large containers with piece goods and to make them more effective.
According to the invention the object is achieved by a further improved device according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of
Invention result from subclaims 2 to 3.
According to the present solution, the loading space of a transport container that is loaded with piece goods is unloaded with the aid of a loading and unloading robot that is firmly connected to the telescopic arm of a telescopic conveyor via a mechanical coupling on the loading / unloading head. According to a first embodiment, the loading and unloading robot is equipped with a drive-less chassis and is moved and positioned in the loading space of the transport container via the linear drive of the telescopic conveyor so that the entire load can be continuously picked up and transported away via the telescopic conveyor. It can also be equipped with a powered chassis.
According to a further feature of the invention, the loading and unloading robot is controlled and positioned using sensors.
Through the proposed innovation, handling processes, such as loading and unloading of cargo spaces with piece goods, can be further rationalized and designed more effectively, and inexpensive industrial robots can be used as loading and unloading robots.
The invention will be explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment. The accompanying drawing shows a schematic representation of the device according to the invention.
A telescopic conveyor 2 known per se is used to unload the schematically illustrated transport container, in the loading space of which 3 piece goods 5 are stacked in the form of packages. On the task page
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of the telescopic conveyor 2, which projects with its telescopic arm into the loading space of the transport container 3, a loading and unloading robot 1 is connected via a suitable mechanical coupling 6.
The loading and unloading robot 1, which is equipped with a drive-free chassis 4, picks up the piece goods 5 stacked in the loading space and places them on the conveyor belt of the telescopic conveyor 2 for the intended further transport and removal. The loading and unloading robot 1 is moved and positioned in the loading space of the transport container 3 via the fixed mechanical coupling 6 such that the entire piece goods 5 are continuously unloaded.
