Description

  Toilet with siphon cover.

In the previously known toilets with a siphon closure, a relatively large amount of water is required for flushing due to the unfavorable arrangement of the falling arm of the siphon.

According to the present invention, this overhang is remedied by the fact that the falling arm, due to its peculiar design and the resulting great length, increases the suction effect so much that a very small amount of water, approximately 3 liters, is sufficient for flushing. According to the invention, the falling arm of the siphon consists of two legs, one of which runs horizontally or approximately horizontally under the cloaettachale and the second under the first is sloping downwards over its entire length.

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. a is the bottom of the siphon and b is the rising siphon arm, which can be shortened by raising the bottom a. The sloping siphon arm is formed on the one hand by the horizontal or almost horizontal leg c, which adjoins the rising siphon arm, with its upper wall forming the toilet bowl, and by the leg d, which is sloped downwards over its entire length below the leg c. The two legs c and d form approximately the shape of the number 7.

To increase the suction effect, cross-sectional constrictions are expediently arranged in the falling arm of the siphon.
