Elektrischer Beleuchtungskörper, bestehend aus einer Glühlampe und einer lichtzerstreuenden Glocke, die gemeinsam in einem äusseren Sockel befestigt sind.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine elektrische Glühlampe, die mit einer lichtzerstreuenden Glocke vereinigt ist, deren Rand gleichzeitig mit dem Sockel der elektrischen Birne in besonderer Weise in einem äusseren Sockel befestigt ist, der die elektrische Birne und die äussere Glocke zusammenhält. Dieser äussere Sockel dient dazu, die elektrische Lampe in die Fassung eines Beleuchtungskörpers so einzustecken, wie eine gewöhnliche elektrische Birne.
Der Erfindung gomäss wird zwecks Befestigung des Sockels und des Glockenunterteiles in dem gemeinsamen Metallsockel ein Ring aus Fiber oder anderem wärmeisolierenden Material mit äusserer Baumwollschicht eingesetzt und der Lampensockel setbst mit Baumwolle umgeben und in den genannten Ring eingepresst. Der Unterteil der äusseren Glocke wird durch Eingipsen im äusseren Sockel festgehalten.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel einer solchen mit einer lichtzerstreuenden Glocke versehenen elektrischen Glühlampe im Schnitt dargestellt. Die Birne A ist zylindrisch und ihr Durchmesser ist so gewählt, dass sie leicht in die Glocke B eingeführt werden kann. Die Glocke ist aus matt geschliffene, weissem oder färbigem Glas und weist innen pyramidenförmige Vorsprünge a auf, wobei aber die Dicke des Glases in seiner ganzen Ausdehnung dieselbe ist. Um der Erfindung gemäss eine elektrische Birne und ihre äussere Glocke in einen Metallsockel C zu montieren, wird in demselben ein Ring D aus Fiber, komprimiertem Asbest oder einem anderen wärmeisolierenden Material angeordnet und dieser mit einer Baumwolluuihullung b umgeben.
In diesem Ringe D wird der Sockel E der Birne A befestigt, indem man letztere gleichfalls mit Baumwolle c umgibt. Der Sockel der Birne wird in den Ring D aus Fiber eingepresst und die Birne auf diese Art in der Achse der Glocke B festgehalten. Die Stromzuleiter f, an denen die Enden der Glühfäden x der elektrischen Lampe A befestigt sind, gehen in bekannter Weise durch Löcher d hindurch, die in dem aus Isoliermasse bestehenden Boden e des Sockels C vorgesehen sind ; diese Leiter werden aussen bei g angelötet. Auf diese Weise wird eine unmittelbare Berührung der Kontakte des Beleuchtungskörpers mit den Leitern der Berne selbst gesichert.
Das Unterende F der Glocke B wird im Sockel C dadurch befestigt, dass es vor dem Einsetzen in den Sockel C an seiner Unterfläche mit ein wenig Gips umgeben wird. Die Baumwolle. die den Sockel der Lampe umgibt, verhindert, dass durch das Eindringen der Nässe Kurzschluss entstehen könnte. Überdies ist die auf solche Weise montierte elektrische Birne keiner Erhitzung ausgesetzt, was ihre Lebensdauer verlängert.

The invention relates to an electric incandescent lamp which is combined with a light-scattering bell, the edge of which is fastened at the same time as the base of the electric bulb in a special way in an outer base which holds the electric bulb and the outer bell together. This outer base is used to plug the electric lamp into the socket of a lighting fixture like an ordinary electric bulb.
According to the invention, a ring made of fiber or other heat-insulating material with an outer cotton layer is used for the purpose of fastening the base and the bell base in the common metal base, and the lamp base is surrounded by cotton itself and pressed into the said ring. The lower part of the outer bell is held in place by plastering in the outer base.
In the drawing, an embodiment of such an electric incandescent lamp provided with a light-scattering bell is shown in section. The pear A is cylindrical and its diameter is chosen so that it can be easily inserted into the bell B. The bell is made of matt-cut, white or colored glass and has pyramid-shaped projections a on the inside, but the thickness of the glass is the same in its entire extent. In order to mount an electric bulb and its outer bell in a metal base C according to the invention, a ring D made of fiber, compressed asbestos or another heat-insulating material is arranged in the same and this is surrounded by a cotton cover b.
In this ring D the base E of the pear A is fastened by also surrounding the latter with cotton c. The base of the pear is pressed into the ring D made of fiber and the pear is held in this way in the axis of the bell B. The lower end F of the bell B is fastened in the base C by surrounding it with a little plaster of paris on its lower surface before it is inserted into the base C.
