Abstract
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer formschlüssigen Verbindung zwischen Teilen eines Fahrzeugscheinwerfers umfassend die folgenden Schritte: Fügen eines ersten Teils an einen zweiten Teil, sodass ein länglicher Fortsatz des ersten Teils eine Ausnehmung des zweiten Teils durchsetzt, mechanisches Beaufschlagen des ersten Teils im Bereich des Fortsatzes an der dem Fortsatz abgewandten Seite, sodass der Fortsatz unter elastischer Verformung des ersten Teils in die Ausnehmung gedrückt wird, thermoplastisches Verformen des den zweiten Teil überragenden Teils des Fortsatzes unter Ausbildung eines Nietkopfes, Abkühlen des Nietkopfes, Entlasten des ersten Teils.
Description
Beschreibung [0001] Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer formschlüssigen Verbindung zwischen Teilen eines Fahrzeugscheinwerfers.
[0002] Bei der Herstellung von Scheinwerfern für Fahrzeuge müssen die Einzelteile des Scheinwerfers, die vor allem aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffen bestehen, besonders fest kostengünstig und vor allen Dingen möglichst spielfrei miteinander verbunden werden. Fahrzeugscheinwerfer sind naturgemäß wechselnden Fasten, Schwingungen und Stößen ausgesetzt, sodass es dann, wenn die Einzelteile nicht spielfrei miteinander verbunden sind, zu einem Lichtbildzittern, Klappergeräuschen und auf Dauer zu Materialermüdungen und in der Folge zu Schäden und Brüchen kommen kann.
[0003] Bisher wurden neben Schrauben auch andere Verfahren zum formschlüssigen Verbinden von Bauteilen eingesetzt, wobei diese Verfahren einer Vernietung gleichkommen. Bei diesen Verfahren wird ein Fortsatz, beispielsweise in Form eines Zapfens, der sich von einem der zu verbindenden Teile erstreckt durch eine entsprechende Durchführung bzw. Bohrung eines weiteren Teils gesteckt und das überstehende Ende des Fortsatzes bzw. Zapfens mit einem heißen Stempel verformt, sodass eine Art Nietkopf entsteht, der den Fortsatz am Zurückrutschen durch die Durchführung hindert.
[0004] Nachteilig ist bei diesem Verfahren, dass nicht immer eine spielfreie Verbindung der Teile erreicht werden konnte. Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein Verfahren der eingangs genannten Art hinsichtlich dieses Nachteils zu verbessern.
[0005] Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe sieht das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren die folgenden Schritte vor: [0006] Fügen eines ersten Teils an einen zweiten Teil, sodass ein länglicher Fortsatz des ersten Teils eine Ausnehmung des zweiten Teils durchsetzt, [0007] mechanisches Beaufschlagen des ersten Teils im Bereich des Fortsatzes an der dem Fortsatz abgewandten Seite, sodass der Fortsatz unter elastischer Verformung des ersten Teils in die Ausnehmung gedrückt wird, [0008] thermoplastisches Verformen des den zweiten Teil überragenden Teils des Fortsatzes unter Ausbildung eines Nietkopfes, [0009] Abkühlen des Nietkopfes, [0010] Entlasten des ersten Teils.
[0011] Mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren können Teile aus gleichen oder aus unterschiedlichen Materialien miteinander verbunden werden. Insbesondere kann das Verfahren zur Verbindung eines Kunststoffreflektors mit einer Metallfassung einer Lampeneinheit oder zur Festlegung einer Abdeckscheibe an einem Gehäuse einer Leuchte eingesetzt werden. Bevorzugt wird der erste Teil jedoch aus einem Thermoplast ausgebildet, wodurch die nötige elastische und thermische Verformbarkeit sichergestellt wird. Der zweite Teil kann aus einem beliebigen Material, wie zum Beispiel aus einem Thermoplast, einem Duroplast oder auch einem Metall bestehen.
[0012] Dadurch, dass beim Verfahren gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung eine mechanische Beaufschlagung unter elastischer Verformung des ersten Teils in Richtung des zweiten Teils vor dem thermoplastischen Verformen des den zweiten Teil überragenden Teils des Fortsatzes bzw. der Ausbildung eines Nietkopfes erfolgt, wird die nietähnliche Verbindung mit einer gewissen Vorspannung gebildet, sodass die miteinander verbunden Teile nach Erkalten des Nietkopfes durch das elastische Zurückfedern des ersten Teils beim Entlasten zusammengezogen werden. Die Teile des Fahrzeugscheinwerfers werden dadurch aneinander gepresst und spielfrei fixiert.
[0013] Bevorzugt ist das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren dahingehend weitergebildet, dass der erste Teil in dem den Fortsatz umgebenden Bereich mit einer reduzierten Materialstärke ausgebildet wird. Diese Maßnahme erleichtert die elastische Verformung des ersten Teils beim Schritt der mechanischen Beaufschlagung, sodass der Fortsatz beim Entlasten wirkungsvoll zurückgezogen wird und eine feste Pressung der verbunden Teile erhalten wird.
[0014] Die Erfindung wird nachfolgend anhand eines in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiels näher erläutert. Die Figuren 1 bis 5 entsprechen hierbei den Verfahrensschritten a) bis e) von Anspruch 1.
[0015] In Figur 1 ist zu erkennen, dass die formschlüssige Verbindung 1 zwischen einem ersten Teil 10 mit einem mit 12 bezeichneten Fortsatz, in diesem Beispiel in Form eines Zapfens, und einem zweiten Teil 20 erfolgt, wobei der Fortsatz 12 eine Durchführung 21 im zweiten Teil 20 durchsetzt. Die Durchführung 21 kann beispielsweise eine Bohrung sein oder auch bereits von vornherein in einem Spritzgussteil freigehalten werden. Die beiden Teile 10 und 20 werden flächig aneinander gefügt. An jener Seite des ersten Teils 10, an der der Fortsatz entspringt ist mit 11 ein den Fortsatz 12 umgebender Bereich bezeichnet, der mit einer verringerten Materialstärke ausgebildet ist, was das in Figur 2 dargestellte elastische Verformen beim mechanischen Beaufschlagen des ersten Teils 10 begünstigt.
[0016] Gemäß Figur 2 erfolgt das mechanische Beaufschlagen mit einem ersten Stempel 30 mit einer in Richtung des Pfeils F gerichteten Kraft, wobei der Fortsatz bzw. Zapfen 12 unter elastischer Verformung des ersten Teils 10 weiter in Richtung des Pfeils 2 in der Durchführung 21 vorgeschoben wird. Hierbei erfolgt insbesondere eine Verformung des ersten Teils 10 im Bereich 11.
[0017] Im nächsten Schritt, der in Figur 3 dargestellt ist, wird der den zweiten Teil (20) überragende Teil des Zapfens 12 mittels eines zweiten Stempels 40 bis zur Fließtemperatur des Materials des ersten Teils 10 bzw. des Fortsatzes 12 erhitzt und in Richtung des Pfeils F' gepresst, wobei ein Nietkopf 13 ausgebildet wird, der in seiner Form im Wesentlichen komplementär zur Form der in den Figuren 2 und 4 bezeichneten Stempelschale 41 des zweiten Stempels 40 ist.
[0018] Nach dem Erkalten wird der Stempel 40 in Richtung des Pfeils 3 vom Nietkopf 13 abgenommen, was in Figur 4 dargestellt ist.
[0019] Nach dem Entlasten des ersten Teils durch Zurückziehen des ersten Stempels 30 in Richtung des Pfeils 4 erfolgt eine elastische Rückstellung des ersten Teils 10, wobei die beiden Teile 10 und 20 durch den nun unter einer Vorspannung stehenden Fortsatz 12 zusammen gepresst werden. Auf diese Weise erfolgt eine dauerhaft spielfreie Verbindung der beiden Teile 10 und 20.
