<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a seat device for resting on a piece of seating furniture with a seat part that can be tilted with respect to the seating piece of furniture, the seat part being attached to a support plate that can be arranged on the seat surface of a piece of seating furniture such that the seat part is opposite the support plate and thus the seat surface the seating is pivotable about an axis transverse to the direction of seating.
State of the art
Various seating devices or seating aids have become known which are intended to improve the correct sitting posture of users on existing seating furniture.
These include static seating aids, e.g. B. consist of a seat wedge which has a pre-shaped seat slope.
However, the static seating aid has the disadvantage that especially people with back problems who are not accustomed to sitting on a wedge get tired within a short time and assume a gentle posture that puts a strain on the spine.
In order to enable different sitting postures and thus reduce signs of fatigue in a favorable sitting posture, dynamic seating aids such as B. designed a ball cushion. In this embodiment, tilting movements of the seat surface are possible in any direction.
As a result, the user is required to continuously adjust the body balance in a wide variety of directions of movement for a stable sitting position. But this also leads to fatigue of the muscles and joints involved in this balance. In many cases, therefore, the user will also in this embodiment, after a certain time, switch to an unfavorable posture for the spine.
DE 2 022 525 A discloses a swing mounting for a seat surface supported centrally by an underframe, which makes it possible to carry out a resiliently limited forward and backward rocking movement with a seat surface without a tilting movement of the underframe.
The disadvantage of this is that no influence is exerted on the sitting position and a position relative to the backrest.
Object and advantages of the invention
The invention has for its object to provide a dynamic seating aid of the type described in the introduction, in which the disadvantages of the prior art mentioned can be avoided, which is inexpensive to manufacture and also offers the possibility of realizing a physiologically advantageous sitting posture.
Starting from the seat device of the type described in the introduction, this object is achieved in that the seat part can assume positions that are infinitely adjustable in relation to the pivot axis in the seat direction. In this way, a too static sitting posture, such. B. with a "seat wedge" and a too flexible sitting posture with any number of tilt options, such as. B. avoided with a "ball cushion". In the same way as in this prior art, however, a tilting of the pelvis of a user to the front and thus an uprighting of the entire upper body are favored in an advantageous position.
The otherwise occurring signs of fatigue of a user are avoided or reduced by permitting a pivoting movement of the seat part, but only in a predetermined range, namely to a limited extent in the direction of the seat. Because with this tilting option, a healthy upright posture of the user is promoted, which acts on the musculoskeletal system of a user in such a way that the upper body is straightened up without requiring too much work to balance the body.
In addition, the seating device according to the invention has the further advantage that it works on any, also on soft or shaped, supports of a piece of seating furniture. A ball cushion can sink into the seat, which prevents the seat from tilting or is restricted.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the seat part can assume various positions in the seat direction, while the position of the pivot axis in relation to the support element remains fixed. For the steplessly adjustable swivel axis positions, any desired positions of the seat surface in the seat direction are preferably possible.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
This measure makes it possible to implement different lever ratios on the seat part.
Is z. B. the seat part moved forward on the pivot axis in the seat direction, the tendency of the seat part to tilt forward increases. This promotes a greater tilt of the pelvis to the front, which results in the entire upper body being straightened up.
In order to avoid a rapid tilting of the pelvis forward in the seat direction, it is also proposed that at least one damping member and / or spring element be fastened in the front seat area between the seat part and the support element. In particular, in the event that the seat part can assume different positions in the seat direction, it is further preferred if the damping member and / or spring element is arranged such that the seat part is at least horizontal, ie. H. can be moved back and forth in the direction of the seat. The damping member and / or spring element also exerts a restoring torque on the seat part, so that this at least in the unloaded state its starting position, for. B. occupies a horizontal position. Sitting on the z.
B. in the horizontal position seat part is thus visually easier to control.
In the present invention, the spring element is preferably fixed to the support plate and, starting from the latter, has two spring legs which protrude upwards. The spring legs rest on the seat plate from below, which is above the above-mentioned. Spring leg is displaceable, in particular conductive. It is also important in the case of the present invention that in particular the spring element is fixed in the center of the support plate and only the seat plate can be displaced relative to its spring leg.
In order to make the correct sitting posture even more pleasant for a user, it is also proposed that in at least one seat part position with respect to the pivot axis, the seat part can be blocked from tipping backwards. The lever ratios on the seat part are advantageously designed such that the seat plate preferably wants to remain in the blocked position.
To provide sufficient seating dynamics, it is also proposed that the swivel range of the seat part be in a range of +/- 15 degrees.
In order to adapt the seat device according to the invention to different seat heights, it is also proposed that height-adjustable feet are arranged on the underside of the support element.
A further advantage of the present invention is that the seat plate is arranged so as to be movable relative to the latter by means of an adjustment device which is a fixed component of the support plate.
Preferably, the seat plate should be steplessly adjustable relative to the support plate by means of the adjusting device. It has proven to be particularly advantageous to assign an actuation axis to the support plate, which is optionally provided with a grip element, the actuation axis actuating a gearwheel or the like by rotating the grip element. This is in engagement with a corresponding rack, which is connected to the seat plate.
Corresponding guide elements ensure that the seat plate can only be moved back and forth in a definable area with respect to the defined pivot axis.
In a rear area of the support plate, a stop element is mounted in a holding element, which can be actuated laterally outside the dynamic seat aid, in particular outside the seat part and the seat plate, using a lever. Possibly. However, the seat part can also protrude beyond the lever and also the grip element of the swivel axis.
By actuating the lever, the stop element can be pivoted upward, preferably by 90, and blocks the seat plate from tipping backwards relative to the support plate about the pivot axis. The pivoting movement of the stop element is preferably limited to 90.
Further advantages, features and details of the invention result from the following description of preferred exemplary embodiments and from the drawing; shows in

FIG. 1 shows a schematically illustrated and partially freely cut top view of the support plate of the seat device with adjusting device and stop element;

FIG. 2c shows a front view according to FIG. 1c, but with the feet partially cut free;
Figure 2d is a schematically illustrated rear view of the device according to Figure lc with adjusting device, spring elements and stop element.
According to FIG. 1, a dynamic seat aid 1 according to the invention has a seat part 2, which is mounted relative to a support plate 8 via at least one pivot axis 3 which is aligned and arranged transversely to the seat device. The seat part 2 preferably has a seat plate 6, which is optionally provided with a foam pad 7 arranged thereon. The foam pad 7 can consist, for example, of a stretch cover with an anti-slip structure, which, for. B. is washable and can be attached via an elastic band. With the foam pad as seat upholstery, the seating comfort of a user is increased.
Furthermore, the support plate 8 is assigned a stop element 18 which can be pivoted via an actuation axis 4. The actuation axis 4 is pivotally mounted in a plurality of holding elements 19, a lever 5 acting on the end of the actuation axis 4, see FIG. 1b.
For example, by manually actuating the lever 5, the stop element 18 can be given away from a horizontal and preferably parallel position, in particular a rest position, to the support plate 8 into a vertical position relative to the seat plate 6, so that the latter is arranged approximately perpendicular to the latter.
In this position it is prevented that the seat plate 6 in the area of the stop element 18 cannot tip backwards when pressure is applied to the seat part 2. If tipping is desired, the stop element 18 is simply folded down by actuating the lever 5, as shown in FIG. 1a.
An adjustment device 9 is provided approximately in the center of the support plate 8, which is indicated by dashed lines in the present exemplary embodiment. Furthermore, the support plate 8 is associated with a spring element 17. 1, which in each case has spring legs 24. 1, 24. 2 projecting outside the swivel axis 3 and abutting the seat plate 6.
The spring legs 24, 1, 24, 2 engage on both sides of the pivot axis 3 from below on the seat plate 6. In the present invention, it has been shown to be particularly advantageous that the seat plate 6 is designed to be movable with respect to the pivot axis 3 by in particular the adjusting device 9.
The adjustment axis 3 is supported by a plurality of bearing webs 11, as can also be seen in FIG. 1b. A gearwheel 12 is preferably connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the swivel axis 3, which engages in a toothed rack 13 and interacts with it. The toothed rack 13 is, as indicated in FIGS. 1a and 1b, firmly connected to the seat plate 6.
By rotating the pivot axis 3, in particular the gear wheel 12, this seat plate 6, as shown in the double arrow direction X, is moved forwards or backwards relative to the support plate 8.
In order that the movement of the seat plate 6 with respect to the support plate 8 is restricted, corresponding guide devices 14 engage in corresponding guide grooves 15 and limit a back and forth movement of the seat plate 6 with respect to the support plate 8.
As shown in the exemplary embodiment of the present invention according to FIG. 1c, a damping element 17.2 is arranged in a front area, as can also be seen in FIG. 2b, between the seat plate 6 and the support plate 8.
In order to stabilize the swiveling process to the front, a damping element 17, 2, for example, is arranged on the inside of the support plate 8 below the front seat area. This also serves to return the at least unloaded seat part 2 to the horizontal position here. This will make sitting easier. On the other hand, swiveling backwards, i.e. H. the rear seating area tilts, take place unhindered. However, only until the stop element 18 touches the respective plate surface of the support plate 8 or the seat plate 6 when
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
it was erected. Only a dampened tilting of the front seating area forward is still possible.
In this way, the user of the dynamic seating aid can be provided with a seat surface that is as stabilized as possible, and which tired the user in a favorable sitting position due to the targeted possibility of movement comparatively more slowly. In addition, the dynamic seating aid offers the option of leaning against an existing backrest of the seating furniture in an upright sitting position.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1d, the adjustment device 9 is indicated, which is in engagement with the seat plate 6. The pivot axis 3 is preferably continuous and is supported by corresponding bearing webs 11.
FIG. 2a shows a device 1 in the manner described above, from which it can be seen that a receiving web 16 acts directly on the seat plate 6.
Here, in a manner only indicated, the receiving web 16 sits on the bottom of the seat plate 6 and is articulated about the pivot axis 3.
A guide pin 20 is assigned to the mounting web 16, which is movably mounted in the guide device 14 and allows the seat plate 6 to be moved along the groove 15 relative to the support plate 8 without the seat plate 6 being removed from the mounting web 16 or from the support geplatte 8 is removable.
Furthermore, feet 21, preferably height-adjustable feet 21, are assigned to the support plate 8, which are equipped at the ends with a pivotable support area.
The feet 21 can, if necessary, also be designed to be adjustable in height at any height. There is no limit to the invention here.
The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2b shows how the damping element 17.2 can be used in a front region between the seat part 2 and the seat plate 6. This can be designed, for example, as an elastic foam element or the like, as is also shown, for example, in FIG. 2c.
For holding, in particular for fixing the feet 21, screw sleeves 22 can be introduced into the support plate 8 from below or, in particular, as shown in FIG. 2a, from above in order to releasably fix the foot elements therein.
This embodiment can also be used as a yoga seat on a floor with the feet screwed in, especially if the feet 21 are of low height. However, it should also be considered to design the feet 21 accordingly in a chair-like length in order to create a corresponding seating in a conventional manner. Furthermore, it is also conceivable that the feet 21 can be designed as adapter elements, in particular in order to subsequently attach the complete seat device, for example to a chair, or to equip it with a corresponding seat device. This should also be within the scope of the present invention.
According to FIG. 2d, the present device, in particular the dynamic seating aid 1, shows how in particular the seat plate 6 interacts with the support plate 8. These can be pivoted relative to one another via the pivot axis 3, it being shown in particular how the seat plate 6 can be pivoted relative to the support plate 8 by means of the guide device 14 and the adjusting device 9 in the manner described above.
CLAIMS:
1. Seat device for resting on a piece of seating furniture with a seat part (2) which can be tilted with respect to the seating piece of furniture, the seat part (2) being attached to a support plate (8) which can be arranged on the seat surface of a piece of seating furniture in such a way that the seat part (2) is opposite the
Support plate (8) and thus the seat of the seating furniture can be swiveled about an axis (3) transversely to the direction of seating, characterized in that the seat part (2) can assume any positions that are infinitely adjustable in relation to the swivel axis (3).
