<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The invention relates to a solar energy production system in which a heat pump circuit for a refrigerant is provided with a solar collector as an evaporator, a compressor, a consumer as a condenser and an injection or expansion valve controlled by a sensor.
Since known solar energy systems work with a liquid heat transfer medium, it is only possible to use the specific heat of the liquid for heat transfer, the liquid either having to be brought in large quantities or to a high temperature.
However, the latter leads to a poorer efficiency of the solar collector.
It is known to operate closed solar collector circuits in natural circulation (without a circulation pump) in such a way that the heat transfer medium changes the state of matter, that is to say evaporates and condenses. As a result, the heat of vaporization, which is much greater than the specific one
Warmth, harnessed. However, such systems can only be used at a high temperature level, i.e. high radiation density, as they occur relatively rarely in our climate zones.
On the other hand, it is also known to have lower amounts of heat from a solar panel
To make the heat pump usable. However, this requires several circuits with heat exchangers or the continuous operation of a noisy, expensive and wear-prone heat pump system with a greater need for external energy.
According to the invention, all of these disadvantages are avoided in that in the circuit in the direction of flow downstream of the collector and in front of the consumer, a non-return valve which blocks the backflow from the consumer to the collector, a circulation pump for the consumer and in front of the collector Refrigerant and, in parallel, the injection valve designed as a solenoid valve is switched on, depending on the sun intensity and the consumer or. Air temperature level either the compressor together with the injection valve, which is controlled by a level transmitter of the refrigerant in front of the collector outlet
Is in operation, or the circulation pump is switched on. It is therefore an operation as a pure circulation system. as well as a heat pump with the same circuit.
The object of the invention is shown for example in the drawing. As you can see from this, the closed circuit consists of a solar collector-l-with a liquid level transmitter --8--, a consumer --2--, which consists of heat exchanger, condenser u. Like. Can be trained where the heat is given off to another circuit or heat storage --3--, and a circulation pump --6--. An injection valve - which is controlled by the liquid level transmitter --8-- is connected in parallel to the circulation pump. A non-return valve --4-- is installed in the line between the solar collector --1-- and consumer --2--, which prevents the circuit from being reversed.
In parallel to the check valve --4-- a compressor - a heat pump can be switched on, which enables an even greater energy gain.
The mode of operation of the system, which absorbs the thermal energy from the collector by phase change of a liquid into the gaseous state and releases it to the consumer by phase change into the liquid state, can be described as follows. The liquid is pumped back into the collector-l by an electrically driven pump. The pumping is controlled so that the collector is constantly filled with this liquid (level transmitter --8--). If the consumer is at a higher gravitational potential (higher location) the pump can be omitted, the level sensor --8-- can be replaced by an automatic vent valve (only allows gases to pass through). The system can thus work without the need for external energy.
If the collector gets colder than the consumer, a non-return valve - -4-- prevents the liquid in the consumer --2-- from evaporating and its gas phase condensing in the collector.
In the event of a power failure and high levels of solar radiation, the filling level in the collector-l-drops to the collector inlet, after which the temperature of the absorber rises to its idle temperature without the vapor pressure in it increasing. It only depends on the current temperature level of the consumer. (Vapor pressure curve of the heat transfer medium.) The safety-related maximum pressure corresponds to a limit temperature in the consumer.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
If it is now ensured that this temperature in the consumer --3-- cannot be exceeded under any circumstances, the system is intrinsically safe. The idle temperature of the collector-1 can be as high as desired.
If it is desired that the heat gain from the collector-l-should be increased, the heat pump --5-- connected in parallel with the check valve --4-- is put into operation. Their suction capacity is influenced by an electronic control so that a set target temperature difference between the mean absorber temperature TK and the air temperature TL above the collector cover remains at a constant value. If this difference is set to zero, a constant proportion of the solar radiation in the form of heat is always taken from the collector. The efficiency of the collector-l-is therefore independent of the irradiation intensity and only dependent on its optical losses, i.e. a constant.
In this operating state, the condensate delivery pump --6-- is brought to a standstill.
The level sensor --8-- now regulates the refrigerant supply via a solenoid valve connected in parallel with the pump --6--. In the event of a power failure, the above applies.
The advantages of the system over systems with purely liquid heat transfer media are almost no temperature
