D H Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein selbsttätig abdichtender Verschluss für Flaschen, Konservengefässe u. dgl., bei dem ein zwischen dem Gefässhalse und dem Verschlussorgan liegender Ring aus elastischem Material verwendet ist.

Der Flaschenhals trägt oben eine Wulst c, die etwa gleich dem inneren Durchmesser der Kappe ist, deren Führung bewirkt und gleichzeitig das Abrutschen des Ringes beim Offnenverhindert.
Wird zwischen den Kappenboden und die Flaschenmündung eine elastische Platte i gelegt, so wird durch die angegebene Kraft eine zweiter luftdichter Abschluss erzielt.
