Presswerkzeug zur Herstellung von Tabletten
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Diese be-

Pressing tool for the production of tablets
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
It has been found that when using a tool according to the invention, the division of the
Tablet is very precise. Tests have shown that the weight differences between the two
Halves of a divided tablet are less than one percent. The tool according to the invention is therefore particularly suitable for the production of tablets for which precise dosing is a basic requirement.
According to a further feature of the invention, the surface of the tool opposite the roof-like surfaces consists of two sub-surfaces inclined in relation to one another in the shape of a channel
Gutter bottom is arranged parallel to the increase. With a tray of this type, the aim according to the invention is achieved even better. When the tablet is divided, that is, when the tablet is pressed against a support, the forces that bring about the division of the tablet are introduced into the tablet at three predetermined points. This increases the accuracy of the division.
It is favorable with the tool according to the invention if the elevation is wedge-shaped. The elevation can be arranged on the bottom of the channel or also on the abutting edge of the roof surfaces. In particular, the invention provides that wedge-shaped elevations are arranged both on the channel base and on the abutting edge of the roof surfaces. The notch effects of the wedge-shaped
Elevations add up and act on the tablet from both sides.
The wedge angle of the elevation can have a different design. In and of itself, sharp wedges produce good results. However, the invention prefers relatively flat wedges, that is to say those in which the wedge angle is approximately 90. This considerably increases the service life and load capacity of the tool.
The further proposal of the invention serves a similar aim, which consists in that the base width of the wedge-shaped elevation corresponds to approximately one fifth to approximately one third of the diameter of the punch.
For the inclination of the roof surfaces and / or the channel surfaces, the invention proposes an angle of approximately 10 to 250 with respect to the normal to the punch axis. It is beneficial if the
The slope of the gutter surfaces is greater than the slope of the roof surfaces. The invention is based on the consideration that a lower inclination of the roof surfaces is sufficient because the tablet surfaces formed by the roof surfaces of the tool regularly rest on a base during the dividing process, while the user's fingers act on the opposite surface. With a harder base, however, a lower inclination is sufficient to ensure the success of the invention.
Finally, the invention provides that, in the end position of the punch in the die, the distance between the two-sided wedge-shaped elevations corresponds only approximately to the third part of the greatest mutual distance between the surfaces facing each other. At the point of division, the tablet thus has only about a third of the remaining strength.
The tool according to the invention can be used with particular advantage in tablets which consist of several layers. The design according to the invention ensures that at least one of these layers is largely divided into two halves by the wedge-shaped elevations in the tool, with the result that even greater accuracy is achieved in the subsequent division of the tablet.
Some exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown schematically in the drawings. 1 shows a section through a tool according to the invention and FIGS. 2 to 5 show the essential individual parts of modified exemplary embodiments of the invention.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the punch --2-- cooperates with a die, which essentially consists of the sleeve - 1-- and the lower punch - 3--. The lower punch --3-- is also movable in the sleeve-l-in order to eject the finished tablet.
The lower stamp --3-- has the two roof surfaces --5--. A wedge-shaped elevation --10-- is formed on the abutting edge of these roof surfaces. On the circumference of the lower punch -3- a projecting edge -8- is provided in a manner known per se, which is intended to avoid undesirably sharp edges on the finished tablet -4-. The edge -9- serves the same purpose. on the upper stamp --2--.
The upper punch --2-- has the two surfaces --6--, which are inclined towards each other in the form of a channel. The wedge-shaped elevation --7-- is provided at the bottom of the channel.
In the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1, the wedge-shaped elevation --7-- has a wedge angle of about 30, while the elevation --10-- has a wedge angle of about 450.
The exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 2 to 5 basically correspond to the exemplary embodiment

according to Fig. 1. However, the wedge-shaped elevation --10-- is somewhat stronger, while the height of the wedge-shaped elevation --7-- is less. The wedge angles have also been changed. These are
