Manöverpatronen-Zerfallgeschoss

Maneuver cartridge disintegration projectile
The invention relates to a disintegrating cartridge bullet with a guide band for machine guns and single firearms made of a material that has the necessary mechanical strength in the barrel and falls apart when it emerges from the barrel, consisting of a projectile front part and a projectile rear part with a compact made of metal powder, The front and rear of the projectile are connected to one another by a cone, a thread or a connection with an S-shaped profile. In the case of decay ammunition, the recoil impulse should, as is well known, be the same as in a normal shot, so that the entire weapon and mount kinematics are operated in the same way as there.
The weapon and barrel wear should also be as small as possible and the strength of the cartridge and projectile in terms of strength so that no permanent changes in shape or damage to these or the belt link occur.
There are known projectiles for maneuver cartridges, which consist of two identical halves of a synthetic resin capsule. The capsule is filled with a pellet made of metal powder. The two parts of the capsule are relatively easy to manufacture, but the strength at the connection points of the two capsules is not high enough, so that the capsule cannot be broken down properly and the metal powder is not properly atomized; In addition, the capsule or the projectile is not guided sufficiently in the barrel.
In order to obtain a usable maneuver cartridge here, the invention is characterized in that the rear part of the projectile, extended beyond the floor of the projectile, contains a sealing flange as an additional guide, the diameter of which is equal to or greater than that of the projectile guide band provided on the front part of the projectile, the sealing flange being the same size Diameter includes a widening disc.
This embodiment ensures good guidance during the barrel and perfect atomization of the bullet when it leaves the barrel, the front and rear parts being held together well at the connecting points in the barrel.

Fig. 1 flange on the elongated rear part, Fig. 3 an S-shaped connection with a larger diameter sealing flange on the elongated rear part, Figs. 4 and 5 each have a threaded connection (cylindrical and conical cord thread) with a larger diameter sealing flange and Fig. 6 a Conical connection with widening disc on the extended sealing flange.
The projectile wall of the decay projectile of a maneuver cartridge is composed of two parts 1 and 2, which lie close together with their contact surfaces la and 2a. The contact surfaces are - seen in section - a straight line (cone) 3 inclined towards the central axis (Fig. 1, 2 and 6), an S-shaped line 4 (Fig. 3) or a thread line 5 (Fig. 4, 5) and smooth, grooved or corrugated and firmly connected to one another by a suitable adhesive or, in the case of smooth surfaces, by friction welding. The contact surface la of the projectile front part 1 lies on the cone 2a of the projectile rear part 2. The wall consists of a material that in the course of the

Rifle is sufficiently strong, but immediately falls apart when leaving the barrel.
This can be a plastic, pressed material, pulp wood or the like. If necessary, the front part of the projectile can also be provided with longitudinal ribs or with longitudinal grooves to increase the flexural strength or to reduce the breaking strength against internal overpressure (not shown).
On the outer wall of the front part of the projectile there is a guide band 6 for a rifled barrel. The arrangement can be such that the connection point between the front and rear parts is under the guide band (Fig. 1, 3, 4 and 5). Instead of one guide band, there can also be more than one guide band.
For further sealing and good guidance of the projectile in the rifle barrel and thus for the two halves of the projectile to adhere firmly to one another, in addition to the sealing guide tape on the front part of the projectile, the rear part of the projectile contains

diameter is equal to or larger than that of the projectile lead tape. 6 shows an embodiment in which the sealing flange is preferably equal to the diameter of the bore of the sleeve neck 9 surrounding it; Here, a widening disk 10 is inserted into the sealing flange, which is pressed forward against the floor of the projectile by the powder gases when it is fired.
As a result, the sealing flange is pressed outwards into the barrel's features, so that, as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-5, the sealing flange and the guide band ensure good guidance in the barrel of the rifle and a good seal between the two projectile parts is.
