  Vorrichtung zum Schleifen von Profilen und Facetten. 



   Das Schleifen von Profilen oder Facetten in Stein, Metall, Glas und anderen Stoffen wird bisher mittels umlaufender Schleifscheiben aus sehr harter Masse ausgeführt, deren   wirksame   Umfangsfläche entsprechend profiliert oder facettiert ist. 



   Die Anwendung derartiger Schleifvorrichtungen hat den Nachteil, dass die Profile und Facetten der Schleifscheiben sich bald abnützen und einer wiederholten, zeitraubenden und   liostspieligen   Nacharbeitung bedürfen, um die ursprüngliche richtige Form wieder herzustellen. 



   Die den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildende Schleifvorrichtung beseitigt diesen   Ubolstand   dadurch, dass bei derselben die Profile oder Facetten, welche in eine Fläche   einzuschleifen   sind, in einer Scheibe aus weichem   MetaU, z. H. Blei oder Zinn   oder einer weichen Metallegierung, eingearbeitet sind, wobei diese Schleifscheibe   während   des Schleifvorganges noch mit einer gegen dieselbe angedrückten, nach Bedarf anstellbaren,

   Eine solche Vorrichtung ist in der Zeichnung in schematischer Weise in Seitenansieht (Fig. l) und Stirnansicht (Fig. 2)   veranschauHcbt.   



     Die Platte a,   z.   B. aus G ! as. weiche   bei der dargestellten Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung mit parallelen Längsrillen b versehen werden soll, ist in einer passenden, verschiebbaren Unterlage c eingespannt. Oberhalb derselben befindet sich die umlaufende Scheibe d aus weichem Metall oder einer weichen Metallegierung. Um nun die Form- änderungen der gegen die Platte a angedrückten Umfangsrillen der weichen Scheibe   beständig und   in   aHen Teilen auszugleichen bezw. allen   Rillenteilen der Schleifscheibe der Platte immer wieder das richtige Profil zu geben, steht der Rand der Schleifscheibe d mit einer entsprechend profilierten Mutterwalze f aus hartem Material (Stahl oder dgl.) unter Druck in Eingriff.

   Die Anpressung der   Mutterwalze f kann dauernd oder durch   zeitweise   nachstellung   der   Mutterwalze   geschehen. Die mit der Schleifscheibe d sich drehende Walze f dringt mit ihren Ringrippen in die Rillen der Scheibe ein und gibt dell letzteren wieder ihre ursprüngliche, dem verlangten Profil entsprechende Form, so dass stets das   gleicht'profil   auf die zu schleifende Platte einwirkt. 



   Zum Gebrauche wird das eingespannte, zu bearbeitende Stück entgegen der   Drohungs-   richtung der Schleifscheibe bewegt, wobei zwischen die im   Umfange   der letzteren eingearbeiteten Rillen und das Werkstück ein Schleifpulver, z. B.   Schmirgelpuiver ein-   gebracht wird.
