Transmission network
The invention relates to a transmission network with a parallel circuit consisting of a coil and a capacitor, the resonance frequency of the circuit being adjustable in steps, in particular for correcting the level characteristic with respect to the frequency characteristic of a carrier frequency telephone system.
Such correction compensation networks can advantageously be used to supplement the fixed compensation networks and / or level control devices in carrier frequency telephone systems to compensate for any remaining level differences in the transmission characteristic, which generally have an irregular character both in their distribution over the transmission characteristic and in their shape and size . The correction compensation network must be adjustable in sufficiently narrow steps for precise correction compensation, which makes it particularly complex in its structure and confusing in its setting.
The aim of the invention is to create a device of the type mentioned at the outset, in which a particularly clear setting is achieved with a minimum number of elements.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that the coil has at least four connection points for the capacitor, which has a value given by the relationship 1 + a = a
EMI1.1
: a: a2ver-To adjust the bandwidth of the parallel circuits without influencing the resonance frequency, the connection points on the coil also form the connection points of the parallel circuit in the transmission network.
The size of the impedance of the parallel circuit at the resonance frequency is set in a simple manner with the aid of an adjustable control resistor connected between the connection points.
With correction compensation, the resonance frequency, the bandwidth and the impedance in the case of resonance of the parallel circuit can thus be set practically independently of one another, so that the setting becomes very clear with a particularly simple structure.
The invention and its advantages are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a repeater station of a carrier frequency telephone system with a compensation network according to the invention. FIG. 2 shows a frequency attenuation curve for explaining the A1I shown in FIG. 9- same network. FIG. 3 shows a frequency characteristic curve, and FIG. 4 shows a further development of the device shown in FIG.

carrier frequency telephony signals arriving on a cable 1 via a fixed equalization network 2 and an amplifier 3 for further processing are fed to an output amplifier 4 with a level device controlled by a control signal, which is connected to an output cable 1 '.
. In order to compensate for level changes still present in the transfer characteristic, an adjustable correction compensation network 5 in the form of a T network is located between the amplifier 3 and the output amplifier 4, which has a series branches 6, 7, resistor 8 or 9 and its shunt branch 10 a Resistance 11 contains.
Parallel circuits consisting of a coil 14 and a capacitor 15 are connected in series with the resistors 9, 11 via connecting terminals 12, 13 to the series branch 7 and to the shunt branch 10 of the T-network, 5.

The coils 14 and the capacitors 15 of the two parallel circuits are made mutually the same.
The parallel circuit 14, 15 in the shunt branch 10 serves to compensate for a level decrease in the transmission characteristic curve, because the impedance of the shunt branch 10 is increased by this circuit when the parallel circuit 14, 15 resonates, which results in a decrease in the attenuation of the T-network 5 while the level increases can be compensated for in the transmission characteristic of the parallel circuit 14, 15 in the series branch 7, since the attenuation of the T-network 5 is increased by the circuit 14, 15 at its resonance frequency.
Suitable dimensioning of the resistor 16, 17 in connection with the other resistors 8, 9, 11 in the T-network 5 ensures that when using the mutually identical parallel
EMI2.1
The size of the decrease in attenuation of the T-network brought about is exactly the same as the increase in attenuation brought about by the parallel circle 14, 15 in the longitudinal branch 7. The magnitude of the decrease in attenuation or increase in attenuation of the T-network 5 through the parallel circuits 14, 15 can easily be adjusted at its resonance frequency by means of variable resistors 18, 19 located between the connection terminals 12, 13 of the T-network, which if necessary are gradually adjustable.

can be given. Just like the resonance frequencies F 1-F ″, the bandwidths B-B increase by the same amounts with a logarithmic scale division, which is of particular advantage for a clear correction compensation.
For illustration, the attenuation characteristic shown in FIG. 2 shows the bandwidths B-B at a resonance frequency F2 of the circle in the shunt branch 10 of the T-network 5, as well as at a resonance frequency F of the circle in the series branch 7.
To compensate for a level change in the transfer characteristic when using the present correction compensation network, the correction compensation network is first set to the desired resonance frequency, whereupon the shape and size of the level change that occurs are compensated
EMI3.5
Capacitor Cl is connected between the connection terminals 21-22 of the coil 14 in the shunt arm of the T-network 5, and by connecting suitable connection points of the coil 14 to the connection terminals 12, the shape and the adjustable variable resistor 18 compensate for the magnitude of the level changes that occur. If there is an increase in level in the transfer characteristic, e.g.
B. at a frequency F, this level increase is similarly compensated for by the parallel circuit 14, 15 in the series branch 7 of the T-network 5.
A level change in frequency, shape and size that occurs can be compensated for completely independently of one another by using the compensation network shown, each of these settings being particularly clear, as already explained above. In addition to this clarity in the compensation, the structure of the compensation network is particularly simple, because all these regular setting options are implemented by using a coil 14 with only two additional connection lines, which makes the network shown particularly suitable for practice.
As already explained above, an increase in level and a decrease in level in the transmission characteristic can be compensated for by the specified compensation network with the aid of the circles 14, 15 in the shunt branch 10 or in the series branch 7 of the T-network.
If there is only one level change in the relevant transfer characteristic, which is either a decrease in level or a level decrease

because with a total of 8 coils and 16 capacitors, dasd. H. Over a band with a relative bandwidth of 1:50, with a sufficiently fine setting of the frequency, a precise correction compensation according to shape and size can be achieved, which is also particularly clear.
At this point it should be noted that instead of the specified correction equalization network, other types of equalization networks can also be used, e.g. B. Art 7r networks. Instead of bridging the series connection of the series resistor 9 and the parallel circuit in the series branch 7 of the T network with a resistor, only the parallel circuit can be bridged with a resistor, but in this embodiment of the correction compensation network the zero attenuation is increased.
