<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Hydraulic shears and press brake
The present invention relates to a hydraulic scissors and press brake in which the actuation of the ram is carried out by a hydraulically controlled double-acting piston. With such devices, there must be a fixed stop on the fold side to limit the stroke movement of the slide so that the fold angle always remains the same. For this purpose, separate stops have hitherto been arranged in a device separate from the lifting cylinder. However, this design has major disadvantages, which are particularly in the transfer of the reciprocating piston movement to the limiting device in the resulting deflections, which the accuracy of the
Affect the stop. The purpose of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned.
The scissors and press brake according to the invention is characterized in that a sleeve which is adjustable in the axial direction and which forms the upper stop for the piston is present in the path of movement of the piston actuating the ram. The sleeve can expediently be arranged screwed into the cylinder, a worm and a worm wheel rotatably connected to the sleeve being provided for the axial adjustment of the sleeve.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown, u. FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a double-acting cylinder and FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line 2-2 in FIG.
The combined hydraulic scissors and press brake are suitable for performing cutting and bio-operations, the ram being driven by a piston 1 which is accommodated in a cylinder 2. The cylinder 2 has two horizontal bolts 3, which lie in the longitudinal center plane of the cylinder and serve for the adjustable mounting of the same in a frame 4. The bolts 3 extend perpendicular to the plane of the ram, so that the parallel position of the ram can be aligned.
For precise folding, it is crucial that the upward movement of the ram is precisely limited and it is desirable that the setting is accurate to a tenth of a millimeter. For this purpose, a stop sleeve 5 is provided which has an external thread 6 which is screwed to a corresponding internal thread of the cylinder 2. Below the thread 6 there is a bronze guide 7 and a ring seal 8. In the interior of the sleeve, the piston rod 9 of the piston 1 is guided by means of bronze bushes 10 and 11.
The sleeve is encompassed by a worm wheel 12 which is rotatably connected to the sleeve 5 by a wedge 13. A wedge track 14 is provided to guide the wedge. The arrangement is such that the rotation of the worm wheel 2 rotates the sleeve 5 and at the same time moves it in the axial direction. A worm 15 which is connected to a drive motor (not shown) is used to drive the worm wheel 12. At 16 is a cap z. B. made of light metal, which comprises the upper end of the cylinder 2, so that a space 17 remains between the sleeve 5 and the cap 16, in which leak oil collects, which is used to lubricate the worm gear.
A schematically drawn seal is designated by 18, which seals the passage point of the piston rod 9 through a central opening of the cap 16.
A tube 19 is fastened to the bottom 20 of the cylinder 2 and is connected to a line 25 and extends into a bore 21 of the piston rod 9. This bore 21 communicates with the space 23 above the piston 1 through transverse bores 22.
The oil supply for bending takes place through a line 24 and the oil supply for actuating the scissors is the line 25. A bore is designated by 26 through which the leak oil is drained.

In the manner described, the upper stop can be precisely determined by setting the sleeve 5. The stop sleeve 5 can absorb the entire pressing force without the adjustment being blocked. From the leakage oil collection chamber 17, both the guides and the worm gear are lubricated by the leakage oil collected. The bore 26 of the leakage oil discharge line is located above the worm gear, so that the leakage oil level remains approximately constant. By returning the piston, the oil is guided through the line 25 and through the pipe 19. Since the movement of the slide is limited purely mechanically by driving against fixed stops, a very high level of accuracy is guaranteed, which enables the production of series profiles with bending angles that remain constant.
