<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Rückleitungsapparat an.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Condensation water return device.
The subject matter of the present invention is a condensation water return apparatus which returns the condensation water flowing out of steam heaters to the steam boiler at as constant a temperature as possible and thus creates a water cycle with the greatest possible heat economy. After the apparatus has an open float, which is always loaded with water of the same temperature and therefore of the same density as the water from which it receives its buoyancy, works

valve 20 mounted. This valve 20 is a double valve, the double cone of which rests on the lever 115 by means of a pin 21. The valve 20 is closed when the
Lever 15 stands up and opens when the lifting pressure against pin 21 ceases, i. H. when the double cone of the valve falls down by its own gravity.
If the steam inflow valve 20 is open, the inflowing steam can bezw in the space between the cap 17 and the tongue 14. Lid 9 in which the lever 15 moves and from there it enters the vessel space A of the apparatus through the bore 11 leading to the channels 13. In the side wall of the vessel 1 at 22 there is a tap in order to be able to empty space A when the apparatus is shut down.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The apparatus is equipped with a water level indicator, the lower tap of which is connected as deeply as possible to room B and the upper tap of which communicates with room A at the highest point.
The apparatus is set up about 21/2 m above the mean water level of the boiler. A nozzle 23 opens into space A through which the condensation water enters the apparatus. A non-return valve is placed in front of the condensate inlet nozzle 23, which allows the water to enter the apparatus, but prevents the water in the apparatus from escaping. A pipeline leads from this non-return valve to the condensation plug, which separates the condensation water that is to be returned to the boiler.
If the condensation water is to be led back into the boiler from several Kouden pots, a closed collecting vessel must be connected between the condensation pots and the return line apparatus, at the lowest point of which the pipeline through which the condensation water is led to the return line is connected. The pipelines which connect the condensation pots to this collecting vessel and in each of which a non-return valve is to be switched on, open as high as possible into the collecting vessel. A pipeline leads from the discharge elbow 5 to the steam boiler's feed nozzle. A non-return valve must be installed in this line immediately upstream of the steam boiler. The return line apparatus is connected to the steam chamber of the steam boiler by the shortest possible, well-insulated pipe.
This steam line closes at the steam inlet valve 20, which is to be preceded by a steam shut-off valve
Return apparatus on. The mode of operation of the condensation water return device is now as follows:
If the condensation emerges from the condensate pots under such pressure that it flows into the return line apparatus, then the ventilation screw 19 must be opened when the apparatus is to be put into operation. The condensation water entering through the inlet connection 23 first fills space A, whereby the float 6 is raised
EMI2.1
will flow through the overflow pipe 3 into room B, which can be seen from a water level indicator with which the apparatus is provided.
As soon as the water level glass shows water, a sign that room B has started to be filled with water, the steam shut-off valve is opened. In spite of this, no steam can yet enter the apparatus because the float 6 is raised and the steam inlet valve 20 is kept closed with the lever 15. Only when room B is filled with condensation water (so that the air can completely escape from room B, the intermediate floor 2 rises moderately towards the overflow pipe 3), the condensation water entering the apparatus will fill room A above the overflow pipe 3 and then by waving! heberrobr S enter the float 6.
Has so much water entered the float 6 that it reaches the lower surface of the cylinder J which extends from the cover 9 into the float 6? 0, then the float 6 is so heavily loaded that it begins to sink. When sinking, it absorbs almost as violent water as it displaces. The cylindrical extension 10 hanging from the cover 9 into the float 6 almost completely prevents the formation of a harmful space as a result of the float 6 being submerged.
When the float 6 has sunk, not only does the pressure exerted on the valve cone by the lever 15 cease, but the latter move away from their seats due to their own weight and steam can enter through the now open steam inlet valve 20 enter the apparatus. The venting screw 19 is closed until the steam has completely displaced the air still in the apparatus.
The water contained in the device is now under boiler pressure.
Since os is prevented from escaping by the check valve, which is switched on in the condensation water supply line 23, it flows through the defrosting elbow due to its own weight. 5 to the lower-lying steam boiler. With advancing
When the apparatus is emptied, the water contained in the float 6 also begins to be emptied by the angled lever 8. This relieves the load on the float 6. Since that in
Space A up to the level of the overflow pipe 3 contained water can not flow out, the float 6, when it has emptied, receives so much buoyancy that it is through the
Lever 15, which he lifts, closes the steam inflow valve 20. Since this means that no more steam can enter the apparatus, the condensation of that which fills the apparatus begins
Steam.
If the pressure has been reduced in the apparatus by condensation of the steam so that condensation water can again enter the inlet connection 23, the filling of the spaces A and B and that of the float 6 begins again in the manner described above. When the float has sunk again, steam enters again, the apparatus empties water into the steam boiler and repeats this over and over again
Play as long as there is enough condensation water flowing into it.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
If the condensation water does not flow to the return pipe because it escapes from the condensation plug or the collecting vessel under insufficient pressure, 80 the return line device must

but otherwise filled with steam. If the condensation of the
Steam creates a vacuum in the apparatus through which the condensation water, which is to be fed into the steam boiler, is sucked in. If the height to which the apparatus had to suck in the condensation water were too great, then the
Installation of two return line devices may be required.
The one back ladder would have to be set up so low that the condensation water from the condenser plug, or if there are several, from the Sammo! the vessel. He then has to feed the condensation water to the second return pipe, which would have to stand above the steam boiler.
In Fig. 3, 4 and r), a second embodiment of the condensation water return line is shown, which differs from the above-described in that it consists of an undivided vessel 1, which communicates with a second cylindrical vessel in which a Weight 25 can move up and down. This weight hangs on the lever 15 by means of a support rod 24 and acts on the same in such a way that the free end 16 of the lever 15 and through this the float 6 is lifted up by the weight 25.
Instead of the vent screw 19, the sleeve of the cover 17 is blocked by a cock 2.
In this condensate return valve, the open float 6, which is also provided with an angle lifter 8, receives its buoyancy not from the water surrounding and carrying it, but is lifted up by the counterweight 25, whereby the steam stream valve 20 is closed. Otherwise, the mode of operation is the same as that of the apparatus shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. By using the counterweight 25, which the empty. Keeps swimmers high at all times. as a result of which the steam inflow valve 20 is closed, the care required when the former is put into operation is dispensed with
Apparatus must be turned towards the filling of the vessel before the steam shut-off valve can be opened.
