Lockenwickler

Hair curlers
The invention relates to a hair curler which at the same time accelerates the drying of the hair. The drying of the hair was generally carried out with flowing warm air and thus required a special apparatus, in the invention this deficiency is remedied and the drying is effected by a drying insert which is accommodated in the curler. Hair curlers made of seamlessly drawn, perforated tubes, which are provided with wire brackets to clamp the strand of hair, have already been proposed in many variants, the novelty now consists in the fact that a known, exchangeable drying insert is arranged inside such a perforated tube.
The device consists of a seamlessly drawn perforated tube in which two wire brackets are mounted crosswise, which run the length of the tube and snap into notches. In the cavity of the perforated tube, a hygroscopic
Chemically impregnated paper roll is introduced, whereupon the strand of hair is clamped with one bracket. After rolling up the curl, it is fixed with the second bracket. The two wire brackets also prevent the dry insert from falling out, as the wire brackets also close the open end of the tube. Instead of the paper roll, a correspondingly shaped fabric bag with a hygroscopic filling can also be provided.
