Horizontalen (konstante Spannung) abweicht.

Fig. D zeigt eine Charakteristik.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

trigger the entire control device. It will then be possible to reduce the droop of the control device to such an extent that the control characteristic of the valve practically differs only insignificantly from the
Horizontal (constant tension) deviates. However, it will be impossible to achieve an increasing characteristic, i.e. overcompounding, with such a control device, or even to adjust the compounding at will. Static regulation can only be achieved if the voltage measured by the error F bei -e "y, can also be obtained after the error t has disappeared again.
The invention now relates to an electrical, astatic control device for any control purposes using a measured value that looks. the comparison of the value to be controlled with its setpoint. This measured value influences an auxiliary device provided with electron tubes for generating a control voltage or a control current, so that the voltage or current generated in the auxiliary device depends on the direction, but not on the size of the measured value.
While in a known device the positive and negative changes in the measured value are two different electron tube systems for generating two control voltages,
EMI2.1
serving single electron tube system, whereby only a single control voltage is obtained which, depending on its sign, influences the controller in one sense or the other.
In the drawing, embodiments of the invention are shown in FIGS. 4 and 6, u. between

the voltage of a tracing current network work. Fig. D shows a characteristic. The Yig. 2 and the characteristic of FIG. 3 serve only to be able to clearly show the mode of operation of the automatic controller according to the invention for the control according to FIG.
2 shows an electron tube G, in the anode circuit of which there is a direct voltage B and a resistor R. The grid of the tube is connected to a suitable tap of the resistor R via the temporarily meaningless resistor W to the terminals x, y. The characteristic of such a tube is shown in FIG. 3, in which the anode current i is shown as a function of the grid voltage eg plotted on the abseisse. Let C be the operating point of the system of FIG. 2 at a specific instant. The anode current then has the value OB and the grid voltage the value OA. The system shown in FIG. 2 has an error in that the grid voltage of the tube according to FIG. 2 is not positive, but negative. However, for these considerations one can imagine correspondence between FIGS. 2 and 3.
If the anode current in the tube G, FIG. 2, increases for whatever reason, the voltage drop across the resistor R will simultaneously increase and the grid voltage eg will also increase. This means in FIG. 3 that the current increases from AC to AD and that at the same time the grid voltage (M increases by the value DE.
Point C of the characteristic then changes to point E, provided that the tap at resistor R for the grid voltage is selected appropriately in FIG. 2 (provided that the specified error does not exist). The whole system of FIG. 2 can then be made unstable, i.e. unstable. H. becomes statically indeterminate, d. H. in Fig. 3, the position of the operating point C is not determined, but it can be located anywhere on the rectilinear part of the characteristic of the tube G.
Such a so-called flip-flop circuit is now used according to the invention for the control arrangement according to FIG. Error F (FIG. 1) is applied to terminals x and y of resistor W in FIG. 2. Assuming that the operating point of the system is at point C of FIG. 3, at the moment when the error F is imposed on the grid of tube G in FIG. 2, this additional grid voltage causes point C in FIG. 3 moved up quickly.
The anode current i increases, and the voltage drop generated by this current ia in the resistor R, FIG. 2, is introduced between the star point Xi of the second secondary winding of the transformer tl and the cathode Yl of the auxiliary rectifier al of the switching arrangement according to FIG the terminals X and Y (Fig. 2) are combined with the corresponding terminals Xt, Yi, Fig. 1. As a result, the control process will start in FIG. 1 and the error F will disappear. The control process can even go so far that the error F reverses its sign compared to before.
At this moment, according to Fig. 3, the movement of point C in direction E is inhibited and after the opposite

the voltage between the terminals a, yi (Fig. 1) and according to Fig. 2. ,? / (Fig. 2) and the static control acts in the opposite sense to the previous one, until the error F changes sign again, and so the operating point C (Fig. 3) will oscillate around a certain position, which is at the rectifier of the Fig. 1 shows compliance with the desired DC voltage.
Instead of FIGS. 2, 3, which are only used to explain the invention, the physically correct astatic control device will now be shown with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5 in conjunction with FIG. In FIG. 4, Ci and G'z denote electron tubes each with a battery Bi and B2 and an anode resistor R1 and R2. The grid voltage of tube G2 is taken from resistor RI, the grid voltage of tube G1 from resistor R2. The error F (Fig. 1) is the terminals. ' ; and y
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
pressed in the grid circle of the pipes GI.
The control voltage, which is fed to the terminals Xl and Tl of FIG. 1, is taken between the terminals X and Y of the anode circuit of the tube G2.
Fig. 5 shows the characteristics of the tubes GI and G2. You can see that this, as is normally the case with electron tubes, extends far into the area of the negative lattice spa. nnung goes over.
Let C be the working point of the tube Gl, i.e. H. the anode current of tube G1 is OB and the negative grid voltage is OA. This negative grid voltage is picked up between Y and P2 in the anode circuit of the tube G2 with the correct polarity. Assuming that the anode current of tube GI increases from AC to AD, then the current in resistor RI will increase and the negative grid voltage of tube G will become more negative. This lowers the anode current of the tube G and the current in the resistor decreases. The voltage between Y and becomes less negative, i.e. H. the grid voltage of the tube Gl decreases from OA to OH.
This increases the anode current of the tube Gl and the operating point of C actually changes to point E. We see that the whole system is unstable, which is always fulfilled when the tapping points Pi and P2 of the resistors RI and E'z are chosen appropriately. In this case the regulator is completely astatic and regulates to constant DC voltage. However, by moving the points PI and P2 upwards, the control characteristic can be made increasing and by moving the same downwards it can be made.
In the circuit according to FIG. 4 in conjunction with FIG. 1, the operating point C of the characteristic of FIG. 5 will continuously oscillate back and forth with the natural frequency of the entire system from the bottom left to the top right. If this frequency is higher than the frequency of the regulating organs, the whole system will start to vibrate. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6, the circuit of the auxiliary device must be supplemented so that it can only oscillate below a very specific frequency. This frequency is determined by the natural frequency and the arrangement of the system to be controlled.
In Fig. 6 capacitors Ri are attached, which ensure that rapid changes in the anode current, z. B. the tube Gui, do not immediately reach the grid of the tube G2. A change in the anode current of the tube Gz produces a change in the grid voltage of the tube G2 only after the charge on the capacitor Kl has changed in accordance with the changed voltage drop across the resistor RI. In the case of slow changes, the capacitors KI play no role. It is therefore up to you to set the natural frequency of the controller by dimensioning the capacitors K1 for a favorable regulation. A capacitor Ist2 can also be applied to the connection points x, y of the error F.
Furthermore, in order to increase the sensitivity of the astatic control device according to the invention, the auxiliary device under the influence of the measured value can be used by interposing an amplifier device between the points; Connect B,! / (Fig. 4 and 6) and x, yi (Fig. 1). To increase the control range of the astatic control device, the auxiliary device with points X, Y (FIGS. 4 and 6) supplying the control voltage can be connected to points YI (FIG. 1) through an amplifier.
The operation of the astatic regulating device according to the invention was explained in connection with a rectifier for regulating the voltage of the direct current network; it can easily be used to regulate the current by inserting a shunt i into a direct current line, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG , and at the terminals of which the voltage decreases and the latter leads via an amplifier t'i. This increased voltage is then compared with the nominal value of a battery and the error value is sent to the auxiliary device according to claim 1.
It goes without saying that the control device described can also be used to control inverters. You can also use this controller to regulate machines by feeding the excitation of the machines concerned no longer from an exciter, but from a rectifier that is regulated in the specified manner. For example, if you want to regulate the voltage of a DC machine, the error in the DC voltage is determined with the help of a battery and the error value is fed to the controller, which then controls an auxiliary rectifier, from which a main rectifier regulates the excitation current of the DC machine. Rotational speeds can also be regulated in this way. The error is then determined from the difference between the voltage of a speedometer dynamo and a battery.
The controller influences the drive of the machine again via auxiliary linear guides and rectifiers. If it is a matter of regulating the voltage of an alternating current machine, it is rectified via a small auxiliary rectifier and then the error of this rectified voltage is used again in a similar way as above to regulate the excitation of the alternating current machine concerned via the regulator, auxiliary rectifier and rectifier . In a similar way, the aforementioned regulator can also be used to control converters or independent inverters in order to regulate the alternating voltage generated. Then, too, the alternating voltage generated is rectified via an auxiliary equilibrium in order to determine the error by comparing it with a battery.
The control device has so far been explained using the control arrangement according to FIG. It goes without saying that the control device can also be used in conjunction with other control arrangements. The essence of the controller is that, triggered by an error, it changes a DC voltage until the error has disappeared.
