hinaus.
Fig. 7).

In Fig. 5 the arrangement of a grid is shown, which is generally the same as that of FIGS. 1 and 3, except that two identical channels 6 b separated by a central part 10 are present and the retaining wires 5 b are outside. Each channel 6 b is suitable for receiving a cathode in its center.
The grid shown in FIG. 5 is expediently wound to the original shape shown in FIG. 6, the windings being connected to the holding wires 5b by welding as described in FIG. 3, whereupon the spiral becomes the one shown in FIG Mold is pressed by using two domes to limit the shape and shape of the channels 6 b.
It is also possible to use only a single retaining wire Je and a single channel 6c (see FIG. 7).
For this construction, a spiral, bent to the original shape according to FIG. 8, can be connected to the holding wire 5c by welding along two lines of contact and then pressed into the shape shown in FIG. 7 with the aid of a mandrel.
In Fig. 9 a form of a grid is shown in which a single retaining wire or back

channel-shaped parts 6 d are available. The grid shown in FIG. 9 is expediently wound to the original shape shown in FIG. 10 and then, as described above, pressed into the final shape with the aid of two mandrels.
Of course, various modifications of the training are possible without departing from the scope of the invention.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Electron tube with a grid electrode, which has spirally wound wire and at least one holding backbone with which the turns of the spirally wound wire are connected, the spiral wire in plan or cross section forming an essentially complete electrical envelope or a channel for a cathode, characterized in that the lattice wire extends laterally away from the sheath (channel) over the backbone or the backbones (Fig. 4) or, where the backbone does not form part of the sheath, extends between the backbone and the sheath over a distance, which is not smaller than the smallest cross-sectional dimension of the envelope.
