Device for ventilation of grain silos u. like
In silos for grain etc. Like. The grain is stored in very high layers, which have to be relocated from time to time in order to ventilate the goods and thereby prevent the goods from becoming dull, reducing their ability to germinate, etc. This relocation requires expensive facilities.
The invention is a simple and cheap device that any, temporarily

standing perforated pipes, closed or covered at the upper end, which extend only in the lowest, densest grain layer and air outlet nozzles are arranged on the silo ceilings, the former with the. Outside air and the latter, which can be controllable, are connected by means of a common line to an air suction device that sucks the air through the pipes arranged on the silo floors and then through the material and pushes it through a dust collector. By means of a secondary line arranged on the latter, the extracted air can optionally be pushed back under the silo floors in a known manner through a reversing channel and again through the air stored in the silos
Be sucked through well.
The device is shown schematically in the drawing in vertical section.
On the silo floors a are arranged in a ring or in any other distribution perforated tubes b, which are closed or covered at the upper end and are in connection with the outside air at the lower end. The tubes can e.g. B., as the drawing shows, be built into the floors.
Nozzles d connect to the silo ceiling c and open into a common air line e. The latter opens out in the vicinity of an air suction device f which is driven in any way, for example by means of an electric motor h, or is connected to it. The outflow nozzle g of the air cleaner opens into a dust collector i, the so-called cyclone. From this, the cleaned air can get into the open in a known manner.
The air leaving the dust collector can enter through a secondary line k in a reversing duct m, which guides it back into the space below the silo floors, from where it is again sucked through the silos. In this case, the air outlet nozzle n of the dust collector can be closed off by a throttle valve o.
The nozzles d are also provided with throttle valves p in order to be able to regulate the ventilation of the individual silo compartments as desired and, if necessary, to interrupt it completely for individual compartments.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Device for ventilation of grain silos u. The like. With perforated ventilation pipes built into the silo cells, characterized in that the ventilation pipes (b), which are freely accessible to the outside air at their lower end, extend only in the lowest, densest grain layer and by means of a line (e ) are jointly under the influence of a single air suction device (f).
