Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kälteschutz für Schuhe und besteht darin, dass der Schuhoberteil und Schuhboden mit einer zweckmässig gewebeartigen Asbesteinlage versehen ist, welche einen äusserst schlechten Wärmeleiter und daher ein vorzügliches Kälteschutzmittel bildet. Ausserdem ist die Asbesteinlage wasserdicht imprägniert, so dass beim Tragen solcher Schuhe die Füsse auch vor Nässeeinwirkungen vollkommen geschützt sind.

Der Oberteil 1 und Schaftteil 2 des Schuhes ist mit je einer aus Asbest, zweckmässig aus Asbestgewebe, bestehenden Einlage 3, 3'versehen, welche die gleiche Form und Grösse wie der Teil 1 bzw. 2 besitzt. Der Schuhboden erhält folgenden Aufbau : An die Brandsohle 6 wird das Oberleder 1 mit seinem Rand festgenäht und dann an dem Brandsohlenrand ein 3-4 cm breiter Lederstreifen 7 mit einem Sohlenrahmen 8 festgenagelt. Hierauf werden beide Teile 7, 8 mit einer Gummi- oder Zelluloidlösung bestrichen und die Brandsohle 6 mit dem eingezwickten Oberteil durch Ausballen eben gemacht. In den von dem Sohlenrahmen 8 begrenzten Raum wird eine Asbestschichte 9 passend eingesetzt und diese durch Bestreichen mit einer Gummi-oder Zelluloidmasse wasserdicht imprägniert. Dann wird der abstehende Rand 7'des Lederstreifens 7 über dem Sohlenrahmen 8 gezwickt, in die verbleibende Öffnung eine Brandsohle 10 eingesetzt und zu derselben der Riemen genäht.
Nachdem der Sohlenboden auf diese Weise hergestellt ist, wird noch ein flacher oder Vorstehrahmen 11, die Sohlen 1"2, der Wulstrahmen 18, der gegebenenfalls fortbleiben kann usw., in der üblichen Weise befestigt.
Für den Oberteil kann jede Ledersorte verwendet werden, da die wasserdicht imprägnierte Asbesteinlage den Fuss nicht nur vor Kälte, sondern auch vor Nässe schützt.
Bei vorliegender Ausbildung ist der Schuh von der Asbestmasse vollständig ausgekleidet, daher besonders wärmeisolierend und leistet namentlich solchen Personen, die ständig im Freien zu tun haben, wie Wachleuten, Gendarme. Forstleuten usw. hervorragende Dienste.
