Device for making bookings using the carbonless method.
The invention relates to a device for making bookings using the carbon copy method. which, with its simplicity of construction and manufacture, allows the sheets to be inserted precisely and makes it possible to produce a large number of copies while also avoiding complicated parts that are subject to wear and tear, such as springs. In addition, the new device allows you to work with both hands in the unfolded state, which is not possible with the known devices.
The new device consists of a clamping plate and a clamping roller, which is immovably mounted on the plate itself at both ends and can be swung around the central axis of the bearing, whereby in the working position it rests on the plate or the sheets lying on it in such a way that in the clamping position of the roller, the line of contact between roller and base is laterally below the central axis of the roller.
In addition to the pinch roller and independently of it, a hinged clamping rail can be arranged on the writing surface that only acts by its own weight. The arrangements of the eccentrically mounted clamping rail and a hinged loading rail are not new per se; the invention resides in the particular arrangement of these elements in relation to the clamping plate.
The drawings show several embodiments of the invention, u. Between FIG. 1 shows the device in a diagram, FIG. 2 in a view, FIG. 3 in section, FIG. 4 in plan view. 5 and 6 as well as 7 and 8 each show a further exemplary embodiment in side view and top view.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the bottom (journal and carbonless) sheets a are placed on the smoothly ground, flat metal plate b, which is provided on the side with a stop c against which sheet a strikes. Two bearing blocks d are placed on the plate on both sides, in which the flat rail f is mounted with the help of the end pin e. This rail is ground on its lower side so that in the folded-down state (FIG. 1) it clamps the journal sheet a on the plate b by its own weight. The rail f can be turned around the pin e with the handwheel g.
In the unfolded state (FIG. 3), the rail 1 'is held in its position by its own weight, with it leaning against a stop h. After folding down the rail f, the upper sheets i, z. B. inserted the account sheets that hit the outer edge k of the rail f. The roller, which is eccentrically mounted in the bearing block d, is in the opened position (FIG. 3). After inserting the upper sheets, it is folded down with the hand lever m so that it clamps the sheets. The bearing blocks d are provided on their lower side with a recess n into which the upper leaves can be inserted.
In the arrangements according to FIGS. 5 and 6, on the one hand, and FIGS. 7 and 8, on the other hand, the base plate is not held or is not held much wider than the mounting of the two clamping rails makes necessary.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In the arrangement according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the land register sheet is held on the base plate b, which tapers in a wedge shape towards the side of the paper, by a flat rail f, which is supported at both ends with the pin e in the two bearing blocks d which are arranged on the base plate b. The entire length of the flat bar rests with its entire weight on the paper. As can be seen from FIG. 5, the holes for the bearing journals e are somewhat widened towards the top, so that the journals have some play in the holes. The flat rail f is moved by a hand lever in FIG. 5, which is arranged approximately parallel to the flat rail, and in the open position, which is shown in solid lines in FIG. 5, rests on a stop.
So that the flat rail f can be pivoted without hitting the base plate, it is provided with a recess j below the pin e; the base plate b is provided with a marking line o on its upper side; the land register sheet is placed with an edge on this line or, even better, also provided with marks that are placed on this line so that the sheet is perfectly straight.
The account sheet, which bears the original script, is placed with its edge on the right side surface of the flat rail f and clamped on the base plate b by a roller which is eccentrically mounted with its two end pins p and q in the bearing blocks d.
The roller is moved by a handwheel g and is also held in the open position by a pin r.
In the arrangement according to FIGS. 7 and 8, the flat rail f has been omitted; Here, land register sheets and account sheets are held by the eccentrically mounted roller l.
The land register sheet is here again placed on the marking line o and then clamped by the eccentric roller l, which rests on the entire length of the base plate b. In the gap formed by the roller l and the base plate b, the carbon paper and the original writing sheet can then be clamped. The hold that is provided by this gap is perfectly adequate. The eccentric roller strikes, as in the arrangement according to FIG. 5, in the open position against a stop pin which holds it in the open position.
The version according to Fig. 5-8 is particularly suitable for working with solid books. In this case, the sheet is pushed from the left under the unfolded rail f (Fig. 3) and clamped to it.
