<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Suspension clamp for waveguide.
In the case of waveguides, which, because of their larger diameter and the resulting reduction in electrical radiation losses, have recently been used more and more for the conduction of high voltage electrical energy, there is a need to carefully and safely clamp all the wires that make up the conductor at the anchoring points, so that not through the Pulling out individual wires from the tensioning clamp the cohesion and the closed surface of the waveguide is endangered. For this reason, the suspension clamps used so far have relatively large dimensions and a correspondingly high weight and are accordingly expensive.
In the design of the same, sufficient consideration has not yet been given to the quick and easy fastening of the waveguide in the clamp and this clamp to the guy masts.
The invention not only makes it possible to substantially reduce the costs for the tensioning clamps themselves and for the assembly of the lines, but the tensioning clamp according to the invention can also be given a shape that is rounded on all sides. In particular, the arrangement of screws and edges on the outer surfaces of the housing of the tensioning clamp is not necessary, so that electrical losses due to radiation can also be largely reduced at these points.
The tensioning clamp according to the invention consists essentially of a housing, which is expediently cylindrical or a similar, z. B. may have an ellipsoidal shape. The
EMI1.1
shaped junction with a hole for receiving the short piece of conductor, the so-called current loop, which connects to the next guy-side. Releasably connected to the housing is a z. B. sleeve-like part which is axially to the bore into which the end of the hollow cable to be braced is inserted and which provides the connection of the housing with the guy chain or chains. The attachment of this sleeve-like part on the housing can, for. B. be done in such a way that this is provided at its corresponding end with a thread, onto which the sleeve-like part provided with an internal thread can be screwed.
The tensioning of the waveguide is expediently carried out in such a way that the waveguide is inserted into the bore in the housing. In the end of the waveguide, a slotted expansion sleeve with an internal conical mandrel is then inserted, and the mandrel is tightened by a nut or the like so that it presses the sleeve apart. As a result, the waveguide end is firmly clamped between the sleeve and the wall of the bore in the housing and with uniform pressure everywhere. The expansion sleeve and the mandrel are arranged so that the conical taper of the mandrel is directed towards the end of the hollow cable. In this case, the cable works in such a way that it seeks to wedge the expansion sleeve firmly onto the mandrel, so that the clamping pressure on the conductor is increased by the cable.
After clamping, the sleeve-like part is screwed onto the housing and the tensioning clamp is fastened to the insulating chain in a suitable manner. The conductor that establishes the connection with the next guy bay, i.e. leads to the corresponding other guy clamp on the same mast and which naturally does not exert a significant cable pull on the clamp due to its shortness,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
can be secured in the bore-of-the-branch of the housing in the same manner, provided that the branch is releasably connected to the housing.
However, it is more expedient to manufacture the housing and junction from one piece and to clamp the connecting conductor after inserting a cylindrical filler piece into its end by means of an external clamping sleeve acting between the surface of the rope and the hole in the junction.
The end of the clamped hollow cable with its clamping parts is advantageously arranged rotatably in the housing of the clamp, which can be done by clamping the hollow cable between the expansion sleeve and a special jacket sleeve that is rotatably mounted in the housing of the tensioning clamp.
The tensioning clamp according to the invention consists of a relatively small number of individual parts, so that it is easy and unusually reliable in operation and the waveguide can be clamped in relatively easily.
The tensioning clamp according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
EMI2.1
another embodiment of the tensioning clamp according to the invention, FIG. 3 is a side view and FIG. 4 is a plan view of the tensioning clamp according to FIG.
The housing of the tensioning clamp consists of a part 4a with a bore that lies in the axial direction of the tensioned conductor 3 z. B. has the same diameter as the rope, so that it encloses this as tightly as possible. At a corresponding angle, part 4b branches off from part 4a, which receives the end of the loose strand 3 a. This establishes the connection with the corresponding conductor of the next guy field, so leads to the guy clamp arranged in the opposite direction on the same guy mast. The parts 4a and 4b can consist of one piece or be connected to one another in an expedient manner.
For the purpose of clamping the conductor 3, the part 4a of the housing is pushed over the end of the same, and the clamping sleeve la with the cone 23 located on the inside is pushed into its end. The clamping sleeve 1 a, which is expediently provided with slits running in opposite directions, places its strong end against a shoulder of the nut 24, which can be screwed onto the threaded end of the cone 23. By strongly tightening this nut, the clamping sleeve la and the cone 23 are firmly wedged against each other and becomes the end of the rope. 3 between the clamping sleeve 1 a and the wall of the bore of the housing part as firmly clamped accordingly.
The outer surface of the clamping sleeve 1a and the inner surface of the bore are roughened, whereby strong friction is achieved between the outer and inner surface of the rope on the one hand and the inner surface of the bore and the surface of the clamping sleeve on the other hand. The approach of the nut 24 simultaneously causes a force-fit connection between the part 4a of the housing and the cone 23 in the pulling direction. A piece 26 with an eye 30 screwed onto the threaded end 31 of the part 4a provides the connection with the insulating chain in a suitable manner.
The loose connection strand 3i can either be clamped in the same way or z. B. in such a way (Fig. 1 and 2) that first a cylindrical filler 2 '/ is inserted into the end of the rope 3a, and that the end of the rope from the clamping sleeve j! is included, which can also be roughened on its cylindrical inner surface. The clamping sleeve leads with its smooth conical outer surface in the
EMI2.2
The way in which the lock nut 25 secures the nut 24 in the jig for the tensioned rope 3.
The tensioning clamp according to the invention advantageously has a shape that is well rounded towards the outside and the clamping parts for the loose connecting strand 3 serve as counter-wiping against deflections of the clamp from the vertical position. FIG. 2 shows a similar tensioning clamp, but in the interior of the housing part 29 corresponding to part 4a of FIG. 1, a jacket sleeve 4c is placed, into which the hollow cable is clamped, as described above. With the housing part 29, in which the jacket sleeve 4c has a counter bearing, the piece 26a is connected by thread, which is set up for the attachment of the tension clamp to the insulating chains. Otherwise, the chip removal clamp is designed exactly like that shown in FIG.
This embodiment has the advantage that the parts 29, 26a, 28 and 4b that are firmly connected to one another can be set up in any desired position, and that they also do not follow rotational movements of the waveguide which could occur under certain circumstances.
The two embodiments of the tensioning clamp according to the invention can, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 2 and 3, have well-rounded outer shapes, and even when these tensioning clamps are equipped for two-chain suspension, the arms that connect the actual tensioning clamp to the insulating chains can be in rounded in the same way (Fig. 4). The part 26a of the tensioning clamp is articulated by means of bolts 32 to the two-armed bracket 33, to which the insulating chains 10 can be attached in a known manner. In order to avoid electrical radiation losses, the arms of the bracket 33, which are expediently made of cast steel, have an elliptical tube cross-section 34 at their center, which can merge into a circular cross-section towards the ends.
