Interchangeable lock for safe doors.
The invention relates to interchangeable locks suitable for safes, the bolt of which can be released when the safe door is closed by one of a number of pins on the strike plate which couple the door to the strike plate.
According to the present invention, these pegs penetrate both through the inner wall of the door

The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the lock on a safe (steel cabinet). FIG. 1 shows the safe in perspective with the door open and the lock bolt released, FIG. 2 is a horizontal section through the safe with the door closed. Fig. 3 is a horizontal section through the safe door with the lock partially pulled out. Fig. 4 shows the lock in side view and the accompanying key. Fig. 5 shows a device for pushing out the door as soon as the lock has been opened.
The door 1 of the safe is provided with a cavity for receiving the lock, the housing 2 of which is held in place when the lock is inserted in this cavity, for example by a spring hook 4 or the like that enters a housing opening 3 and snaps over the edge of the same. This hook 4 or other lock can be triggered from the inside of the open door either, as shown, by a pusher 5 or by a plug or key using an appropriate locking mechanism.
The lock 2 is expediently provided with a latch 6 which is automatically triggered in a known manner when the door is closed and which moves into the locked position. For this purpose, for example, a pressure pin 7 is provided which, when the safe door is closed, is pressed inward against the spring action by a pin 9 attached to the locking plate 8 and thereby releases the lock bolt 6, which then by spring action or the like into the Closed position.
A second pin M can be attached to the strike plate in a known manner, which penetrates into an empty hole 11 in the door wall and possibly also the lock wall in order to achieve a symmetrical and better fixing of the door 1 above and below the bolt.
As soon as the door 1 is opened, the pressure pin 7, which is accessible from the inside through a hole 12 in the door, can be pressed inwards independently of the lock device itself by means of a plug pin or a key in order to trigger the lock bolt 6, which then jumps into the locked position, see above that

The removed lock can now be placed in the collection point and recently used for any of the existing safes.
The lock is advantageously set up so that the associated key can be kept in the former. For this purpose is between the edge of the cover plate and the surrounding sheet of the

As is known, a device is expediently provided
which opens the door 1 somewhat as soon as the lock has been opened by means of the key 14. For this purpose, for example, the second pin 10 can rest against a spring 19, which when the door is closed by pushing the pin. ? is clamped to a boundary part. This spring or the like can also be laid in the door or the lock housing.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Interchangeable lock for safe doors, the bolt of which can be triggered when the safe door is closed by one of a number of pins on the strike plate which couple the door to the lock plate, characterized in that these pins pass both through the inner wall of the door and in penetrate the lock and therefore both the fixing of the door on the container and the securing of the lock in the door initially allow the bolt exit.
