Abstract

Un proceso para producir polietileno que comprende poner en contacto etileno con una o más a-olefinas en presencia de un catalizador de polimerización en donde la una o más a-olefinas se producen en un proceso que comprende poner en contacto una alimentación de etileno con un sistema de catalizador de oligomerización en una zona de reacción de oligomerización en condiciones de oligomerización para producir una corriente de producto que comprende a-olefinas en donde el sistema de catalizador de oligomerización comprende un complejo de hierro-piridin bisimina y un cocatalizador de MMAO y las condiciones de oligomerización se seleccionan de modo que la una o más a-olefinas contengan menos de 100 ppmw de 1,3-hexadieno.
