Abstract
Aparatos y métodos para la extracción de litio de fuentes acuosas se describen en este documento. Los iones divalentes se eliminan mediante la separación por etapas de la membrana. La fuente acuosa se somete a un proceso de extracción de disolvente que extrae litio. Las fases acuosas y orgánicas de las corrientes producidas por el proceso de extracción de disolvente se separan usando separación por flotación eléctrica y/o de gas. El disolvente se deshace de sus complejos para descargar litio. Las corrientes producidas por la eliminación del complejo pueden estar sujetas a la separación por flotación eléctrica y/o de gas. La eliminación de complejos de disolventes se puede realizar usando un separador eléctrico. Las corrientes acuosas tienen un pH ajustado para su retorno al medio ambiente.
