Abstract
Sistema espacial (1) que comprende una estructura (2) formada por componentes estructurales (3), un equipamiento a bordo (5) portado por la estructura (2) y un dispositivo pasivo diseñado para facilitar la destrucción del sistema espacial (1) durante la reentrada a la atmósfera terrestre. El dispositivo pasivo comprende miembros de conexión (4) diseñados para conectar de modo estable los componentes estructurales (3). Los miembros de conexión (4) comprenden al menos una porción hecha de un material iniciador con características tales como para desintegrarse a altitudes de reentrada mayores que aquellas en las que los miembros de conexión actuales se funden, de modo de hacer inestable la conexión creada por los miembros de conexión (4) hasta tal punto como para disparar la destrucción temprana de la estructura (2) del sistema espacial (1) durante la reentrada a la atmósfera terrestre.
