Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un método para crear plantas de soja que presentan semillas que tienen un contenido de ácido oleico de entre aproximadamente 65% y aproximadamente 85%, caracterizado porque comprende cruzar una primera planta de soja que presenta un alelo mutante no funcional de FAD2-1A con una segunda planta de soja que presenta un alelo mutante no funcional de FAD2-1B, de manera tal de obtener un rendimiento elevado de ácido oleico en el aceite proveniente de las semillas provenientes de las plantas que se originan en dicho cruzamiento, de al menos 65%.
