Abstract

La presente invencion provee un tapon sintético, en particular un tapon sintético para vino, para un recipiente que retiene un producto construido para ser insertado y retenido en forma segura en un portal que forma el cuello de dicho recipiente, en donde dicho tapon comprende al menos un polímero termoplástico y al menos un derivado de ácido graso. Con la presente invencion es posible proveer un tapon sintético que tiene una densidad de espuma inferior a aproximadamente 350 kg/m3, en particular inferior a aproximadamente 300 kg/m3, y al mismo tiempo una tasa de transferencia de oxígeno (OTR) segun se determina por medicion de Mocon usando 100% oxígeno inferior a aproximadamente 0,025 cc/día/tapon, en particular inferior a aproximadamente 0,015 cc/día/tapon.
