Abstract

Se divulgan aditivos para suelos formados por composiciones poliméricas estimulo-respuesta autolocalizadas y los métodos para su uso. En una realizacion, la composicion polimérica o la red polimérica comprende entrecruzamientos permanentes y entrecruzamientos no permanentes, donde los entrecruzamientos no permanentes son capaces de ser removidos al aplicar un estímulo o al estar expuestos a un estímulo, generalmente ubicado dentro del suelo. En otra realizacion, el método para incrementar la retencion de agua en los suelos incluye aplicar un aditivo para suelos, que comprende redes poliméricas de la presente mezcladas con una solucion acuosa para formar una solucion o suspension para dispersion coloidal, a una superficie del suelo. La suspension o solucion para dispersion coloidal facilita la penetracion de la composicion polimérica a través de la superficie del suelo y en el suelo, migrando generalmente a áreas con potencialmente menos agua y, más generalmente, a lo largo de los canales de drenaje ubicados dentro del suelo. Luego de la penetracion de la superficie del suelo, la red polimérica es luego expuesta a un estímulo, generalmente presente en el suelo, donde los entrecruzamientos no permanentes se remueven y la composicion polimérica experimenta un cambio volumétrico. Esto resulta en la prevencion, detencion o pérdida reducida del agua desde el área blanco, por ejemplo la zona de la raíz de la planta, que permite una eficiencia mejorada del uso del agua por parte de las plantas, pastos, vegetacion, etc..
