Abstract

Se presenta un portador de grabación óptico escribible que comprende una pluralidad de capas de grabación L0.....Ln-1 separadas por un material espaciador, cada capa de grabación comprendiendo un área de calibrado de energía óptima teniendo una primera porción con un valor de reflexión promedio representativo de una capa grabada y una segunda porción con un valor de reflexión promedio representativo de una capa no grabada, un método, y un aparato para formar áreas de calibrado de energía óptima en tal portador de grabación óptico escribible. Las áreas de calibrado de energía óptima se superponen parcialmente tal que las áreas de calibrado de energía óptima de cada par de capas de grabación consecutivas forman un escalón, y las primeras porciones de dicha pluralidad de capas de grabación tiene la forma de una escalera. Cada escalón formado por un par de capas de grabación consecutivas k, k+1 tiene un tamaño de escalón mínimo preferido.
