Abstract

Un método de obturar una cañería incluye los pasos de soldar al exterior de la cañería primero y segundo collares separados, teniendo cada uno una cara sellante en un plano perpendicular al eje de la cañería. Un alojamiento de contención es fijado mediante soldadura a los collares para rodear totalmente una sección de la cañería entre los collares. Usando la máquina de taladrar y roscar una corta longitud de la cañería es cortada y retirada de entyre los collares dejando dos extremos de caño expuestos abiertos. Los primero y segundo elementos de sello son posicionados entre los collares, teniendo cada uno una cara sellante delantera. Los elementos de sello son forzados a separarse uno de otro entrando en contacto sellante con las caras sellantes de collar cerrando de ese modo los extremos expuestos, abiertos, del caño.
