Abstract
La invencion se refiere al aislamiento y caracterizacion de nuevas secuencias de gen de expansina de especies de árboles heterologas y homologas y de lareintroduccion de dichos genes nuevos en árboles, para alterar los niveles de expansina. Se identificaron 6 genes nuevos. EL eucaliptus también fuetransformado usando la secuencia de pepino EX29 (GenBank, Accession Ns U30382 - conocido como Cs - EXP1). Se observo un cambio en la altura de las plantas y lalongitud internodal en comparacion con lasplantas control.
